AARP, in partnership with the Center for Healthy Living at Kimball Medical Center, is offering the “55 Alive” mature driving course” May 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Center for Healthy Living, 198 Prospect St., Lakewood.
This course is a classroom refresher especially designed to meet the needs of older drivers. It covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, local driving problems, and license renewal requirements.
Drivers should check with their automobile insurance company to see if the company offers premium reductions to graduates of the program. The registration fee for the course is $10, and checks should be made payable to AARP. For more information or to register, call (888) SBHS-123.
