Evelyn D. Bittay, 93, died Sunday, April 23, at Cranbury Care Center, Monroe.
Born in New Brunswick, she lived there all her life before moving to Rossmoor in 2001. Ms. Bittay was a needle inspector for the Ethicon Division of Johnson & Johnson in Bridgewater for 31 years, retiring in 1974.
Her husband, Ambrose, died in 1989. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Mary Rosenberg (1990), Ethel Hoffman (2000) and Catherine Kupter (1961). She is survived by her daughter, with whom she lived, Patricia L. Pennisi of Rossmoor; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 26, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe. Entombment followed in Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum, North Brunswick. Visitation was Tuesday, April 25, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
