Arts Council of Princeton to celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Friday

   The Arts Council of Princeton and the Princeton Shopping Center will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Princeton Shopping Center courtyard.
   The free festival will include music, Mexican art and refreshments from Princeton Shopping Center restaurants including Taste of Mexico and Main Street Grill. In the event of rain, the festival will take place in the conTEMPORARY Arts Center next to the Eckerd drug store.
   The Cinco de Mayo celebration will begin with family-friendly art workshops geared towards decorating the courtyard for the event. Participants of all ages will be guided by Arts Council artists in creating Mexican-inspired decorations.
   The Cinco de Mayo event is the first in a series of collaborations between the nonprofit Arts Council of Princeton and the Princeton Shopping Center. This summer, the two organizations plan to present the Princeton Passport Concert Series every Thursday evening from June through August.
