WEST WINDSOR Chairman Marvin Gardner and Vice Chairman Steve Jany have been appointed to represent the township Planning Board on the search committee charged with choosing a master planner for the Princeton Junction train station area redevelopment.
"I think the redevelopment zone is a very significant area that will have a very strong impact on the economic and social well-being of the township," Mr. Gardner said.
In addition to the two Planning Board members, the search committee includes two council members, two members of the administration and the mayor.
The Planning Board also approved the site plan for an 84,000-square-foot office building at Carnegie Center at its April 19 meeting. Building 300 will be three stories high and will be accessible from Carnegie Center Drive.
As part of the approval process, the developers, Carnegie Investors and Boston Properties, agreed to make the site accessible to Bus Rapid Transit, a transportation project being considered by NJ Transit. The developer will also contribute to future intersection improvements at Alexander Road and Roszel Road, Mr. Gardner said.
