Thanks extended to supporters of job fair

Middletown’s 15th annual youth job fair held April 5 at Middletown High School North turned out to be the most successful event we’ve ever had.

Many students attending this year’s job fair will secure full-time or part-time jobs this summer. Sixteen local business and regional employers provided job applications and conducted interviews with more than 300 students. Employers who attended were: the Seagull’s Nest, Sparkling Pool Services, Cadbury Schweppes, Merri Makers, Food Circus Supermarkets, Keansburg Amusement Park, PNC Bank Arts Center, Cooper Rehab and Sports Therapy, Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, Barbizon of Red Bank, U.S Army and Air Force, Six Flags Great Adventure, Valley National Bank, Sovereign and Gold’s Gym.

Community Affairs Council Chairman Andrew Zapcic presented a plaque to school board President Joan Minnuies at the job fair in appreciation of the school board’s consistent support. The fair has been hosted by High School South since its inception. Middletown Township Committeeman Thomas P. Wilkens also attended the job fair. A certificate of appreciation was presented to the Community Affairs Council for organizing the event every year.

On behalf of the Community Affairs Council, I want to thank the community for their participation in the 15th annual job fair.
