The New Jersey State Bar Foundation will present the conference “Strategies for Protecting Older Citizens” May 23 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The free conference is co-sponsored by the Elder and Disabilities Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Topics include surrogate decision-making, living trusts, and funding long-term care.
A seminar on wills and estate planning will be held 7-9 p.m. June 13. The free seminar will cover topics such as wills and trusts, gift and tax planning, and New Jersey inheritance tax.

The North Brunswick Woman’s Club will send 10 of its members to the 112th annual convention of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs May 8-10 in Atlantic City. The members will join approximately 600 other woman’s club members at the event themed “Stepping into the Future.” State president Deen Meloro will preside over the meeting which will include discussion of proposed amendments to the bylaws and proposed resolutions, as well as reports of board members. Jacqueline Pierce, president-elect of the international General Federation of Women’s Clubs, will be a guest throughout the convention.

Gold’s Gym will hold the grand opening of its new facility with an open house May 6 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Pier Village, Long Branch.
