Douglas Britton Wicoff Jr.

   Douglas Britton Wicoff Jr., 64, of Pennington died May 1 at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born and raised in Pennington, he received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Drew University, a master’s degree in sociology from Sophia University in Tokyo and a master’s degree in education from Michigan State University.
   He taught at St. Mary’s International School in Tokyo as a fifth-grade teacher. He also taught English at Nichibei Kaiwa Gakuin in Tokyo, Japan.
   During his nearly 30 years of living in Japan, Mr. Wicoff traveled to over 70 countries.
   Predeceased by his father Douglas Britton Wicoff Sr., he is survived by his mother Virginia Pew Blackwell of Newtown, Pa., formerly of Pennington; his wife Reiko Saito Wicoff; two sons, Douglas Taiyo Wicoff of Hillside and John Hikaru Wicoff of Japan; and a brother John Robert Wicoff of Titusville.
   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle, with the Rev. William McQuoid officiating.
   Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
   Cremation was private.
