Wins may be tough to come by for Brick Memorial’s girls lacrosse team, which has two wins and a tie to its credit, but coach Aimee Terranova says she sees steady improvement as the season goes along.

The Mustangs lost to perennial Shore Conference power Jackson, 10-5, on Saturday as Lauren Rizitello scored two goals and goalie Sam DeVizio made 22 saves. Lisa D’Antoni, Ashley Bechtle and Lisa Mlller put in the other goals.

“We played a very, very good game, one of our best games this season,” said Terranova.

Earlier, Miller put in two goals in a 17-4 loss to Toms River South Jaclyn O’Shea and Alyse Newman put in the other goals.

Brick Memorial goes on the road all this week and is hopeful of adding to its victories in the non-conference games. The Mustangs played Manchester on Monday, Barnegat yesterday, and will take on Lacey tomorrow.
