Polling places, candidates in municipal election

The Long Branch municipal election will be held on May 9 and polls will be open at the following locations from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.:

District 1 and District 4, Elberon Fire House at 173 Lincoln Ave; District 2 and District 3, West End Fire House at 595 Second Ave; District 5 and District 8, Operation Life Building at 384 Second Ave.; District 6, Long Branch High School on Westend Avenue; District 7 at Oceanic Fire House at 29 Norwood Ave.; District 9, the Morris Avenue Elementary School on Willow Avenue; District 10, Neptune Fire House at 30 Branchport Ave.; District 11, Long Branch Senior Center at 85 Second Ave.; District 12, Atlantic Fire House at 353 Broadway; District 13, Independent Fire House at 205 Union Ave.; District 14, Gregory School at the corner of Seventh and Joline avenues; District 15 and 17, Lenna Conrow School at the Chelton Avenue entrance; and District 16, Oliver Byron Fire House at 46 Atlantic Ave.

There are three mayoral candidates: incumbent Mayor Adam Schneider, and challengers Alfie Lenkiewicz and Kevin Brown.

There are 13 council candidates: The Schneider Team of council incumbents David Brown, Dr. Mary Jane Celli, Michael DeStefano, Anthony Giordano and John Zambrano; Tom Anzalone, Harold Cooper and Donald Riley running as independents, and Lenkiewicz’s “The New Wave Team” of Ralph DeFilippo, Stephen Molnar, John Ferraro, Carlos Nieves. and Leonard Goldschein.
