WEST LONG BRANCH – The Shore Regional High School Board of Education has elected Anthony F. Moro Jr., of Monmouth Beach, and Frank Pignatore, of Oceanport, as president and vice president, respectively, for the academic year 2006-07 during its April 25 reorganization meeting.
Moro, who was also sworn to a new three-year term on the board the same night, succeeds former President Diane Merla, of West Long Branch. Leadership posts on the board rotate among the members from each of the high school’s s sending towns, West Long Branch, Oceanport, Monmouth Beach and Sea Bright. Moro noted that this election marks his fourth year in the top job. Pignatore was not present at the meeting.
Also sworn to new terms were the board’s Sea Bright representative, Joan Brearly, and a second Oceanport member, Paul Rolleri, who chairs the board’s finance committee.
Sworn to his first term was David Baker of Monmouth Beach. Baker is also currently a member of the Monmouth Beach Board of Education, which oversees a single elementary school in that community.
