MONTGOMERY The township is launching a new series of free community-wide activities for residents of all ages.
The first event, a free lecture titled "The Basics of Birding," by Dave Dendler of the Somerset County Parks System, will be held 7:30 p.m. today in the meeting room at the Otto Kaufman Community Center.
The Community Center is located at 356 Skillman Road, across from the new high school.
To try out these newfound skills, a bird-watching outing will be held 8 a.m. Saturday at the Sourland Mountain Preserve on East Mountain Road in Hillsborough.
Pre-registration is not required for either of these activities.
