Claire D. Tessier Wilson, 78, of Jamesburg, died Thursday, May 4, at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in North Adams, Mass., Ms. Wilson lived in Spotswood before moving to Jamesburg 47 years ago. Ms. Wilson was employed for 23 years as an order picker at L’Oreal Inc., South Brunswick, retiring in 2004.
Ms. Wilson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jamesburg, the church choir, ladies Christian fellowship and was a Sunday school teacher.
Her husband, John V. Wilson Sr., and a son, Peter Peckham, are deceased. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Wilson Spence of Jamesburg and Catherine Wilson Hagman of New Egypt; five sons, Charles Peckham of Batesburg, S.C., Thomas Wilson of Ewing, John V. Wilson Jr. of Jones Mills, Pa., Steven R. Wilson of Bordentown and Mark G. Wilson of Annalomink, Pa.; two sisters, Lauria Tessier of Bennington, Vt., and Blanche Tessier of New Bedford, Mass.; 24 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, May 9, at Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Burial was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Visiting hours for family and friends were at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Kidney Fund.
