Marguerite E. Lennon
   HIGHTSTOWN – Marguerite E. Lennon, 102, of Meadow Lakes died May 5 in Meadow Lakes Healthcare Center.
   Born in New York City, she was a resident of Meadow Lakes since 1970.
   She retired in 1960 as a librarian with the Brooklyn Public Library after 35 years of service.
   She was a former member of the Congregational Church of Brooklyn and current member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown.
   Daughter of the late Addison and Eleanor Worth Lennon, she is survived by her cousin, Rose Lennon.
   Burial services were private.
Evalin J. Grover
   HIGHTSTOWN – Evalin J. (Dempsky) Grover, 83, died Saturday in the St. Joseph’s section of Morris Hall in Lawrenceville.
   Born in Trenton, she was a longtime Mercer County area resident.
   She retired in 1985 as a secretary for numerous wardens with the New Jersey Department of Corrections in Trenton with more than 20 years of service.
   She was a former member of St. Greggory the Great Roman Catholic Church and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hightstown.
   Daughter of the late Frank and Anna Eckstein Dempsky, wife of the late Gregory Pop and Albert Grover, sister of the late Albert Dempsky, Helen Nahass, Frank Dempsky and Florence Graziano, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Georgena Pop Haranis and Haralambos (Bobby) Haranis of Hightstown; her two grandchildren, George Pop Haranis and Marika Pop Haranis, both of Hightstown; her step-son and his wife, Barry and Marie Grover; her stepdaughters, JoAnne Mulholland, Jill Gervasoni, Tina (and Chris) Dietz, Penny (and Tom) Malinofski; many nieces and nephews; and numerous step-grandchildren.
   A Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Memorial contributions may be made to Morris Hall, 2381 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
John De Witt
   HIGHTSTOWN – John De Witt, 57, died Saturday at the Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly.
   Born in New York City, Mr. De Witt lived in New Brunswick before moving to Hightstown 25 years ago.
   Mr. De Witt had been employed as a commercial truck driver for more than 35 years.
   Son of the late John and Francis De Witt, he also was predeceased by his wife, Rose Toth De Witt, in 2003. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, John S. and Sarah De Witt of Hamilton; his daughter and her companion, Cindy De Witt and Jen Stephens of Asheville, NC; daughter Catherine De Witt of Hightstown; his sisters, Joanie Taskowowitz of Jackson, Patty Shaw of Hopewell Township, Fran and her husband, Angel Guikoff of Sayreville, Geri (and Curtis) Ruby of Hopewell Township, Linda (and Joseph) Palumbo of North Brunswick; his brother-in-law, Thomas (and Angelic) Fabian of Sayreville; his grandchildren, Tyler and Amber Rose De Witt; and his niece, Taylor Fabian.
   Services were held Thursday in the Gowen Funeral Home, New Brunswick.
Mary K. Barlow
   HIGHTSTOWN – Mary K. Barlow, 90, died Saturday at Meadow Lakes.
   Born in Freehold, daughter of the late Martin J. and Catherine (nee Coyne) Kennedy, she lived in Hightstown most of her life.
   A member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, she graduated from Cathedral High School in Trenton in 1934 and from St. Peter’s School of Nursing in 1938.
   She worked with her late husband in his medical practice in Hightstown as a registered nurse for many years.
   Wife of the late John D. Barlow, she is survived by one daughter, Catherine J. Danyow of Addison, Vt.; two sons, John K. Barlow of Robbinsville, N.C. and Martin J. Barlow of Robbinsville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, 16 McLean St., Freehold.

Anthony J. Franzo
   SUNRISE, FL – Anthony J. Franzo, 83, died Saturday at Florida Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
   Born in Brooklyn, NY, Anthony moved to East Windsor in 1962 before retiring to Florida in 1988.
   Anthony was a graduate of Franklin K. Lane High School and attended St. John’s University in NYC.
   A WWII Army Air Force Veteran, serving in the 547th Bomb Squadron and the 384th Bomb Group, Anthony was a Prisoner of War for 18 months. He received numerous medals including the Purple Heart, Air Medal, EAME Theater Service Medal and the Distinguished Unit Badge.
   In 1982 Anthony retired from National Lead Company after 35 years of employment. Son of the late Thomas and Helen Franzo, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanne Franzo of Sunrise, FL; four children and their spouses, Rick and Heidi Franzo of Hightstown, Toni and Lee Micai of Plumsted Township, Laurie Franzo of Hellertown, PA and Time Franzo of Sunrise, FL; and five grandchildren, Erik, Ryan, Jeremy, Christina and Jenipher.
   Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Interment will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
   Friends may call Friday 10-11am at the funeral home.

Amy D. Goebel
   HIGHTSTOWN – Amy Downing Goebel, 93, died Sunday at Meadow Lakes.
   A resident of Meadow Lakes since 1997, she was born in Wisconsin and moved as a child with her family to Idaho, where she spent her youth. Widow of the late Col. H.P. Goebel Jr., she lived in many places in the United States and Trieste, Italy.
   Settling in Washington D.C. in 1958, she was administrative assistant to Sen. Frank Church of Idaho, then chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. She retired with her husband to Bethany Beach, Del. in 1970.
   She was an active volunteer with the Red Cross and civic organizations wherever she lived. She enjoyed all things musical, both participating and appreciating songs, dance and classics.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two brothers and their wives and a sister-in-law. She also leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Happy and Jack Wallace of Princeton; two grandchildren and their spouses, Margie and Peter Gibson of Princeton and Chris and Nadia Wallace of Brooklyn, NY; five great-grandchildren; and 18 nieces and nephews.
   The funeral will be held at the Fort Myer Chapel with burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Counseling Services, 33 Mercer St., Princeton, NJ.
Frances Dimmick
   HIGHTSTOWN – Frances M. Dimmick, 79, died Tuesday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.
   Born in Hightstown, she was a resident of Robbinsville and Allentown most of her life.
   A retired employee of Princeton Plasma Physics Lab, she was active in the Washington Township Seniors and enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Hamilton Square McDonalds.
   Daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Mount Robbins, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Mary Diminick of Ewing Township; two daughters and a son-in-law, Frances and Edward Matthews of Hamilton Square and Vicki Carr or Bordentown; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Robert Popp of Hamilton Square; grandchildren Adam and Edward Matthews, Shawn Carr and Keither and Scott Dimmick; great grandson Kyle Matthews; great granddaughter Marissa Young; nephews Mark and his wife, Barbara, Hopkins and Nate and his wife, Carla, Hopkins as well as many cousins.
   Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. The Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson will officiate.
   Interment will follow in Emley’s Hill Cemetery, Cream Ridge.

Godofreda Esteban
   LAWRENCE — Godofreda Quijano Esteban, 80, died May 2 at her daughter’s residence.
   Born in the Philippines, she immigrated to the United States in 1975 and settled in Jersey City, where she lived for 16 years. She lived in Palmdale, Calif. for five years, before returning to New Jersey 10 years ago, where she lived in East Windsor and Lawrence.
   She was a laundry pressers for Central Industries in East Windsor for 10 years. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Hightstown.
   Wife of the late Crispino Esteban, she is survived by two sons, Ferdinand Q. Esteban of Plainsboro and Efren Q. Esteban of Palmdale, Calif.; four daughters, Mildred Valenzuela and Ruth Daguio, both of Lawrence and Mila Penales and Lota Tamayo, both of East Windsor; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and four brothers and a sister in the Philippines.
   The funeral was held at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe.
   Entombment was in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
Ronald H Golden
   HIGHTSTOWN — Ronald Howard Golden, 52, died Wednesday in Mercer County Geriatric Center in Hamilton Township.
   Born in Trenton, he lived in Hightstown for many years.
   Mr. Golden was employed with Seik Wholesale Florist as a driver and deliveryman. He was a longtime custodian at the Hightstown High School and a member and church sexton/custodian for the First Baptist Church of Hightstown. He attained the life Scout status with the Boy Scouts and was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys.
   Son of the late Howard Golden; he is survived by his mother, Jeannette R. Golden of West Windsor; two daughters, Christine M. Goldenbaum of New Egypt and Lynda J. Golden of Hightstown; his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Michael Keith and their daughter, Diana J. Keith, of Richmond, Va.; his uncle and aunt, Louis and Emily Reed of Hightstown; two grandchildren, Caitlyn Maria and Anthony Paul Goldenbaum; his best friend and his wife, Chuck and Synnove Coleman of Hightstown; and many cousins.
   Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown.
   Interment will follow in East Windsor Cemetery.
   Relatives and friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
