Bill Goerke, of the Colonia section of Woodbridge, has been hired as an air solutions sales engineer for the Edison Consumer Center of Ingersoll-Rand, a global company with 40,000 employees worldwide. His duties will include the business development of industrial and manufacturing accounts for the Air Solutions Group, a division of Ingersoll-Rand’s Industrial Technologies, located in northern New Jersey’s Hudson, Essex, Passaic, Morris and Sussex counties.
Prior to his position with Ingersoll-Rand, Goerke worked in the New Jersey manufacturing industry, where he focused on factory automation in the fluid power, electronic and motion control areas for the user and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) markets. A Hillside native, he received a bachelor of science degree in industrial management, with a minor in finance, from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Goerke is certified as a fluid power pneumatic specialist, and is beverage coordinator for Share Our Strength of northern New Jersey, an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the efforts of local hunger-related groups such as Eva’s Village in Paterson and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey in Hillside.
