The students in Clothing and Design I and II at Old Bridge High School (OBHS) will present a fashion show titled “A Crash Course in Couture” at 7 p.m. on May 24 in the auditorium at the high school, Route 516 East.
The clothing and design students are responsible for creating and making all the apparel in the show and for organizing the event. Clothing and Design I students may be credited with the construction of the garments, including simple sewing techniques such as darts, casings, basting and hemming. Clothing and Design II students may be recognized for the organization of the show and the creation of more advanced clothing. The advanced classes, made up of 50 students, were grouped into eight committees to coordinate the show.
The students were responsible for finding the models, creating publicity, advertising, music and stage design.
Tickets for the fashion show cost $5 each and will be available at the door. OBHS students may purchase tickets during their lunch period.
