Charles L. Stark Sr.

Mr. Stark, 74, formerly of Old Bridge, died April 27 in Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Angola, Ind. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he owned and operated Stark’s Produce, Old Bridge, for 45 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley M. Stark. Surviving are a son, Charles L. Stark Jr. of South River; a daughter, Cheryl L. Ulikowski of Jackson; three sisters, Evelyn Keich of South River, Hazel Floreck of East Brunswick and Anna Mariano of New Brunswick; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Patricia A. Bello

Mrs. Bello, 62, of Freehold Township, died April 29 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Clifton, she had lived there before moving to Freehold Township 24 years ago. Mrs. Bello was an administrative assistant for Monmouth Cardiology Associates, Freehold Township. She was also a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Nicholas F. Bello of Howell, and John August Bello and Shannon Bello of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Suzanne Kukene of North Carolina; a devoted friend, Frannie Ransom of Jackson; and her former husband, John Louis Bello of Freehold. Services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702.

Elizabeth “Betty” Sebeny Farnsworth

Mrs. Farnsworth, 87, of South River, died May 1. Her husband, Delmar Farnsworth, died in 1984. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Wojcik of East Brunswick and Cheryl Smutko of Colts Neck; a sister, Helen Lucas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, South River. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

Anna Mae Masso

Mrs. Masso, 66, of Howell, died May 2 at home. She was born in Neptune Township and had lived in the Freehold area all her life. She was the widow of Vincent J. Masso, who died in 1985. Mrs. Masso is survived by three sons, Dennis Burke of Lakewood, and Charles and Branson Burke, both of Howell; four daughters, Edith Lambertson of Florida, Carolyn Clark of Manville, Debra Burke of Jackson, and Anna Marie Burke of Howell; two stepsons, John and Kenneth Burke; two sisters, Mary Anderson of Toms River and Alice Emmons of Vincentown; seven grandchildren; a step-grandson; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.

James A. Meredith

Mr. Meredith, 79, of Freehold Township, died May 4 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Whitesbog, Burlington County, he had lived in the Freehold area most of his life. Before his retirement, Mr. Meredith was a lumber yard foreman for Gordon’s Lumber Co., Freehold Township. He is survived by his wife, Florence D. Sloan Meredith; four sons and three daughters-in-law, James and Kaye Meredith of St. Kitts, Charles and Aurica Meredith of Allentown, Pa., Ronald and Joann Meredith of Freehold, and Kevin Meredith and his fianc, Becky Chamberlain, of Plumsted Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonny and Paul Dronne of Freehold Township; two sisters, Dorothy Van Steen of Princeton and Iline Wooley of Delaware; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown, Burlington County.
