HILLSBOROUGH Oduvald "Odie" Lionel Ughetta died May 9 at Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough. He was 78.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a resident of New Jersey his whole life, but settled in Belle Mead.
Mr. Ughetta was owner and operator of a small trucking business.
He was a lifetime member of the 50th Armored Division of the New Jersey National Guard having served for 40 years at the Lawrenceville armory.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel (Patko) Ughetta; three daughters, Karin Kneafsey of High Bridge, Lauren Ughetta of Plainsboro and Katie Ryan of Flemington; three sons, Kevin Ughetta of Milford, Michael Ughetta of Flemington, and Steven Ughetta of Hillsborough; a nephew, Robert Patko of Jacksonville, Fla., was also raised in the family; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held May 12 in the Clover Hill Reformed Church in Hillsborough. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were by Hillsborough Funeral Home in Hillsborough.
