Shadow Lawn Stage at Woods Theatre, Monmouth University, West Long Branch, has announced its summer 2006 season.
+ June 2-18, “Butterflies are Free” by Leonard Gershe. The story of a blind young bachelor who is trying to escape an overprotective mother who interferes in his relationship with an actress.
+ June 23-July 9, “Da” by Hugh Leonard. A tale of a son’s need to come to terms with his father and himself,
paternity, adolescence, the varieties of familial love and the tricks and
distortions of memory.
+ July 14-30, “And Then There Were None” by Agatha Christie. A mystery/comedy in which statuettes of little soldier boys on the mantel of a house fall to the floor and break one by one as those in the house succumb to a diabolical avenger.
