Richard O. Mauro
EAST WINDSOR Richard O. Mauro, 71, died May 14 from complications related to Parkinson’s Disease in the Lutheran Home at Topton in Topton, Pa.
Born in Union City, he lived in East Windsor most of his life.
Mr. Mauro was honorably discharged from the National Guard. He was a bookkeeper for Transport Motor Systems in Edison, and a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church of Hightstown, where he was an usher and taught CCD.
Son of the late Bruno and Clementina (Ballerini) Mauro and husband of the late Angelina (Trotta) Mauro; he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Judith Mauro of Langhorne, Pa. and Robin Mauro and Kyle Hildenbrand of Kutztown, Pa.; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Jr. and Sandy Mauro of East Windsor; two granddaughters, MacKenzie Lillian Mauro and Madison Autumn Mauro; an aunt, Lena Ballerini of Little Ferry; and a cousin and his wife, Louis Rossi and Elaine Smithson of Hardwick.
Funeral services were held at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, Hightstown, NJ. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church Parish Center, Hightstown.
Interment followed in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Helen E. Kilijanski
EAST WINDSOR Helen E. Kilijanski, 85, died May 18 in Pavilions at Forrestal in Plainsboro Township.
Born in Jersey City, she was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church of Jersey City for 56 years. She also was a member of the St. Anthony’s Senior Club, the Sergeant Anthony Neighborhood Association and the Paterson Street Senior Center.
She volunteered in medical records from 1978 to 2004 at Christ Hospital in Jersey City. She also volunteered for the Salvation Army in New York and the Friends of Liberty State Park.
During World War II she volunteered with the Red Cross and U.S.O.
Daughter of the late Staniplaw and Stanyslava Wisniewska and wife of the late Henry J. Kilijanski; she is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Edward Mahaney, Ann and Dr. John F. Stanoch and Doris and Joseph Herberg; and five grandchildren, Joseph and Karen Mahaney, David and Julie Stanoch and Dana Herberg.
A Funeral Mass was held at the St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church Parish Center, Hightstown. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
Olga Lundin
Fehrer
EAST BRUNSWICK Olga Lundin Fehrer, 90, died Tuesday at her home at The Chelsea.
Born in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn, she was a daughter of the late Aksel and Jenny Granrud Lundin. When she was 11 years old, the family moved to Piscatawaytown (now the Nixon section of Edison). She graduated from New Brunswick High School and was in the class of 1936 at Trenton State Teachers College in Ewing.
She lived in South River 49 years before moving to East Brunswick in 1990.
She was a Republican committeewoman in South River in the 1950s, past president of the Lincoln School PTA, a substitute teacher in the South River schools, and an assistant to Dr. Henry Redlus, South River. She was a volunteer at Princeton Medical Center for the Infant Hearing Assessment Program and had accumulated over 1,000 volunteer hours at the hospital.
She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in East Brunswick and was an elder, a deacon, and a member of the Presbyterian Women and the Christian Education Commission.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Fred Fehrer, her grandson, Michael Rao, and her sister, Alice Lundin. She is survived by three daughters, Alice Wyatt of West Columbia, S.C., Lois Rao of Lancaster, S.C., and Susan of Hightstown; a son, Fred of Palo Alto, Calif.; two granddaughters, Kris Maimbach of Moore, S.C. and Kendra Fehrer of Cambridge, Mass.; two grandsons, Eric Robinson of Columbia, S.C. and Derek Fehrer of Medford, Mass.; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 367 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, under the direction of the Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.
