Tickets will be $20 at the door.

Clifton’s may be reached at (732) 308-0500.

“It is a pleasure for us to perform with Ian Mitchell,” said Joe Orlando, the leader of The Cryers. “He was a very popular Bay City Roller with a highly successful career. His music is nostalgic and brings joy to the audience.”

The Bay City Rollers sold more than 120 million albums worldwide during their meteoric rise to stardom during the 1970s. Their chart-topping hits included “Saturday Night,” “Shangalang” and “I Only Wanna Be With You.”

Mitchell became a Bay City Roller at the age of 17. He later became a founding member of Rosetta Stone and also succeeded in completing various solo projects.

Though Mitchell resides in California, he is currently staying in New Jersey to complete a new CD with Orlando, who is producing and lending his musicianship to this endeavor.

The Cryers have been together for 15 years. They perform locally in their home state, New Jersey, and also at gigs worldwide. The Cryers have a long list of classic rock songs that they like to cover, though they also have written many originals.

The Cryers have performed with Joey Molland of Badfinger, Denny Laine of Wings and the Moody Blues, Laurence Juber of Wings and Billy J. Kramer.

The Cryers include Orlando and Belle Liao. Together, they serve as musical directors and vocalists. In addition, Orlando plays bass guitar and Liao plays keyboards. The rest of the band consists of vocalist Jeff Brown, who also performs on guitar, and drummer Tommy Sessellburg. Orlando and Liao are the owners of Monmouth Academy of Musical Arts in Marlboro.
