Kick-It 3v3 soccer tour comes to East Brunswick

EAST BRUNSWICK – Sports Illustrated For Kids Kick-It 3v3 Tour, the largest 3v3 soccer tour in the world, brings top-notch competition, entertainment and excitement to East Brunswick on Saturday and Sunday, July 1 and 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

The tournament will take place at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds, located at 645 Cranbury Road. The East Brunswick event provides local athletes the opportunity to qualify for the Kick-It Regionals, where teams compete for a spot at the Kick-It 3v3 World Championships hosted by Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando.

Now in its 16th year, Kick-It offers players of all ages and abilities a festival-style atmosphere filled with fun, dynamic and fast-paced competition. Pool play kicks into action on Saturday with each team showcasing its talent to compete for first-, second- and third-place prizes on Sunday. This eventful weekend also features family-friendly entertainment with inflatable games, instructional clinics, soccer skill challenges, food and activities for all to enjoy.

With Sports Illustrated For Kids as its presenting sponsor, the 2006 Kick-It 3v3 Tour is comprised of 55 qualifying and 12 regional events held throughout the United States from May through September, culminating with the World Championships, hosted by Walt Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida on Jan. 13-15, 2007. The exciting, revamped, local and regional weekend soccer celebrations provide games, concessions and entertainment to more than 70,000 participants and 400,000 spectators each season.
