Theresa M. Tiedemann
Mrs. Tiedemann, 92, of Milltown, died June 2 at Francis E. Parker Nursing Home, New Brunswick. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she resided in Milltown most of her life. She was employed in the mail room at Johnson & Johnson, North Brunswick, several years ago. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Milltown. She was a member of Milltown Senior Citizens Club. She was predeceased by her husband, George Tiedemann in 1961; and a son, George in 1952. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Kathy Tiedemann of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; two grandchildren; and a niece. Visitation will be June 23 from 7-9 p.m. at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. A funeral service will be June 24 at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
Agnes J. Antonides Glanfield
Mrs.. Glanfield, 89, of North Brunswick, died June 15 at McCarrick Care Center, Somerset. Born in Raritan Township, she resided in Edison, and Milltown, prior to moving to North Brunswick in 1998. She was a supervisor at Gulton Industries, Metuchen, for 12 yes. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick, and a former member of its Golden Age Club. She was a member of the North Brunswick Seniors Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Glanfield in 1987; a brother, Albert Antonides; a sister, Marion Smith; and a son-in-law, Angelo J. Sansone. She is survived by a daughter, Agnes Claire Sansone of North Brunswick; two sisters, Margaret Seroka of Ledgewood, and Madelaine Claire Raychel of Edison; a brother, Francis “Sonny” Antonides of Sayreville; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
Naomi “Connie” Mejias Mercado
Mrs. Mercado, 70, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died June 16 in Bayshore Hospital, Holmdel. A son, Steven Mercado, died in 1980. Surviving are two brothers, Louis and Richard Cuesta, both of South Amboy. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Cremation was private.
Margaret Delaney
Ms. Delaney, 89, of Holmdel, formerly of the Toms River section of Dover, died June 18 in Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. She was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Martin, and by a sister, Mary Meisse. Surviving are a brother, William Delaney of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge; 11 nieces; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
Joan M. Evaldi Dekis
Mrs. Dekis, 62, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, formerly of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, died June 14 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was a factory worker at Charles of the Ritz and at Lily Tulip, Holmdel, for several years. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Dekis and David Dekis, both of Cliffwood Beach; a sister-in-law, Olivia “Ollie” Evaldi of Sayreville; a brother-in-law, Tobio Mocci of Escandido, Calif.; and four grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Patrick Behan
Mr. Behan, 96, of Old Bridge, died June 15 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Freeman of Old Bridge; and two grandsons, James and John, both of Old Bridge. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Peter Castiglione
Mr. Castiglione, 73, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, died June 12 in St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he was a sanitation worker with the Old Bridge Township Road Department, where he worked for 27 years. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary. Surviving are his wife, Helen T. Castiglione; a son, Michael Castiglione of Pikeville, N.C.; a half-brother, Joe Castiglione; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment was in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
Bob Lee Bracken
Mr. Bracken, 51, of Hazlet, died June 14 in Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. His mother, Mildred Blankley Gilleece, died in 1995, and his father, Robert Bracken, died in 1962. Surviving are his stepfather, James Gilleece of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge; two sisters, Sandra Williams of Alabama and Lori Ann Yeakle of Texas; and four nieces, a nephew and two great-nephews. Andrew M. Peterson Jr.
Mr. Peterson, 57, of the Morgan section of Sayreville, died June 10 at home. He was predeceased by his parents, Virginia “Jean” Lockhart Peterson and Andrew M. Peterson Sr. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Ellison Peterson; a son, Marc Peterson, at home; a daughter, Kristi Peterson of West Long Branch; four brothers, Oliver, Richard and Walter Peterson, all of South Amboy, and Scott Peterson of Trenton; and a friend, Dimitrios Corodemus of West Long Branch. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery, also South Amboy.
Melvyn H. Moss
Mr. Moss, 70, of East Brunswick, died June 16 at home. He was a principal for many years with Broadway Loan and Co., Long Branch. Surviving are his wife, Felice Snow-Moss; four children, Suri Greenberg of Long Branch, David Moss of Highland Park, Zahava Weiss of Baltimore and Josh Moss of New York City; two stepsons, Brian Snow of East Brunswick and Heath Snow of Old Bridge; a sister, Marcy Ansell of Long Branch; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A service was held at Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton. Interment was in King Solomon Cemetery, also Clifton. Maria C. Garcia
Mrs. Garcia, 92, of Spotswood, died June 16 in Old Bridge Manor. Prior to her retirement in 1976, she was a seamstress for more than 42 years. Surviving are a daughter, Sylvia Motta of Spotswood; two grandchildren, Peter Motta and Salvatore Motta; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Sigmund M. Kuchta
Mr. Kuchta, 90, of Sayreville, died June 13 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement in 1981, he was employed as a carpenter for 40 years with Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Pearl Derent Kuchta; three sons, Peter of Eatontown, Paul of Wall and David of Sayreville; four sisters, Josephine Zalewski, Elizabeth Kukulski, Tessie Kwiatkowski and Bernie Kapica, all of Sayreville; a brother, Joseph Kuchta, also of Sayreville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass was held at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Cremation was private.
Dolores A. Malone
Mrs. Malone, 68, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died June 13 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1999, she was a deli clerk with Pathmark supermarket, Old Bridge, where she worked for 10 years. Her husband, Michael, died in 1999. Surviving are a son, Michael of Spotswood; a daughter, Sharon of Clifton; a brother, George Reger of the Toms River section of Dover; a sister, Gloria Berine of Bayville; and three grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Cremation was private.
