Anthony Peluso
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP Anthony D. Peluso, 83, died Sunday at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Born in Trenton, he lived most of his life in the Trenton-Bordentown area.
Mr. Peluso enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 1943 and served as a Tech-5 until his retirement in July 1965. He fought in the Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, and the Rhineland campaigns and earned the Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon and five Good Conduct medals.
After his military career, Mr. Peluso was a civil service worker at McGuire Air Force Base for several years and finally worked at ShopRite of Bordentown for 10 years until his retirement in 1992. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Bordentown Post 5045.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Tassone and Edith Pyatt and a brother, Sam Peluso. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie Salentre Peluso; two sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony D. Peluso Jr. and Inez Peterson of Cincinnati, OH and Donald and Nancy Peluso of Bordentown; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy A. Peluso and John Sabato of Ewing Township; one granddaughter, Sherri Barrett; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Alfred and Evelyn Peluso of Ewing Township and Ralph and Donna Peluso of Hamilton; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose Caruso of Toms River, Clara Rossi of Pernnington, Gloria and Richard Simmons of Kentucky and Terri and Jack Wofford of Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Joseph P. Horan Funeral Home, 432 Hamilton Ave., Trenton, NJ. Cremation followed at Greenwood Crematorium, Hamilton. Memorial donations in his name may be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, 601 Hamilton Ave., Trenton, NJ 08629.
Doris A. Grafe
COLUMBUS Doris A. Grafe, 85, of the Homestead section of Columbus, died Friday at home.
Born in New York City, she lived in Fair Lawn, White Meadow Lakes, and Denville for 20 years before moving to Homestead 18 years ago.
She worked as a seamstress at the McGregor Co. in Dover and later as a nurses aid at the Holly Manor Nursing Home in Mendham before retiring. She was a member of the Homestead Quilting Club. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. Having made dozens of quilts, she took pride in making a beautiful and unique quilt for each of her four grandchildren, to be presented to them upon their marriage, serving as her legacy to them to be enjoyed in their lifetime and passed on.
Predeceased by her son, Kenneth, she is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Fred Graef; three children, Sandra Grunfelder and her husband Dave of Delaware Water Gap, Pa., Debra Figaro of Netcong, and Frederick (Rick) and his wife Roberta Graef of Hopatcong; four grandchildren, David, Emily, Chris, and Kenny Grunfelder; and a sister, Carol Verontus of Colorado.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence. Interment was in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
Joseph A. Ball
TRENTON Joseph A. Ball, 88, died June 15 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center. A lifelong Trenton resident, he was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served in the Aleutian Islands.
A longtime auto salesman for Bonderchuck Cheverolet, he retired from the City of Trenton Parking Utility in 1989.
Son of the late Michael and Helen Ball and brother of the late John Ball, Bertha Janowski and Edna Braddock, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sophie Krawczun Ball; four sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Pat Ball of Baltimore, Md., Art and Anita Ball of Trenton, Mike and Liz Ball of Lawrence Township and Rick and Cindy Braddock of Bordentown Township; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Pat Franc of Louisville, Ky.; and eleven grandchildren, Alex, Matt, Rachel, Peter, Anita, Stephanie, Jackie, Jake, Ethan, Chris and Sam.
Funeral services wereconducted Monday at the Winowicz Funeral Home, 308 Adeline St., South Trenton.

Ida M. O’Harrow
BORDENTOWN Ida M. O’Harrow, 93, died June 14 in the Compassionate Care Unit in St. Francis Medical Center.
Born in Fieldsboro, Ms. O’Harrow was a lifelong area resident.
Granddaughter of the late Jacob and Margaret Pfeiffer, daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Pfeiffer Applegate, wife of the late Robert J. O’Harrow of 70 years, mother of the late Robert J. O’Harrow Jr. and Joyce M. Acolia, and sister to the late Robert Applegate, and George and Howard Gierman, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Carolyn Bainbridge of Whiting and Patti and Raymond Moriconi Sr. of Hightstown; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Estelle Miles
MONROE TOWNSHIP Estelle Miles, 86, passed away on May 28.
She was an accomplished painter, sculptress and world traveler. Born Estelle Awerman in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the youngest child of Charles and Leah Awerman and is survived by her sister Ruth Stone of Worcester, Mass.
She was married to Philip Miles for 65 years. She is also survived by two married children Meredith and Harry Bittner of Bordentown and Seymour Miles and Janis Inscho of New York City; and will be missed by many grandchildren, Audrey and Joseph Knaebe, Richard and Melissa Coppola, Anna Miles, Rose Miles, Harry Bittner II, Thomas Bittner, Becke and Scott Singelton, Heather and Paul Gendron, and Brandy and Ruben Moncada; and seven great-grandchildren, Jack Miles Knaebe, Jordan, Jessica and Roy Gendron, Hannah and Jake Singelton, and Alma Reese Moncada.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. today, Thursday, at the Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
