Melvyn H. Moss
Mr. Moss, 70, of East Brunswick, died June 16 at home. He was a principal for many years with Broadway Loan and Co., Long Branch. Surviving are his wife, Felice Snow-Moss; four children, Suri Greenberg of Long Branch, David Moss of Highland Park, Zahava Weiss of Baltimore and Josh Moss of New York City; two stepsons, Brian Snow of East Brunswick and Heath Snow of Old Bridge; a sister, Marcy Ansell of Long Branch; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A service was held at Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton. Interment was in King Solomon Cemetery, also Clifton. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, or to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714.
Willie James Brown
Mr. Brown, 88, of Freehold, died June 4 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Augusta, Ga., he had lived in Farmingdale before moving to Freehold 44 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1983, he worked for Waltrich Plastics, Tennent section of Manalapan, for 15 years. He had previously been employed by Washington Forge Inc., Englishtown, for 22 years. He was also a member of Overcoming Faith Temple, Freehold. Mr. Brown was predeceased in 1988 by a son, Willie Brown Jr. Surviving are his wife, Jeannette Green Brown; two sons, Roosevelt Brown of Freehold and Sylvester Brown of Long Branch; three daughters, Margaret McCloud of Trenton, Nellie Manning of Freehold and Ethel Devereaux of Toms River; three brothers, Floyd and George Brown, both of Brielle, and Wille Brown of Belmar; two sisters, Rosalie Paige of Brielle and Minnie Earl of Sanford, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were held at the Church of God, Freehold, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
