Justin McGrath, coming off a solid season for Seton Hall University’s team, scored two goals as the Jersey Shore Boca U23 men’s team beat the Atlantic City Diablos to remain unbeaten in the

Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League

at 5-0-1.

Boca won the opening game over the Jersey Knights, 2-1, in the doubleheader at the Knights’ home field in North Brunswick. McGrath scored the opening two goals of the game against the Diablos, who cut Boca’s 3-0 to 3-2 before it added an insurance goal.

Pinelanders Youth Soccer Club, Howell, is now accepting registrations for the fall season. This is a recreational program: all games are played at the Pinelanders fields. Registration is open to boys and girls who will be aged 4-18 on Oct. 1, 2006; birth certificates are required at registration. Girls 5-18 can choose all-girl or co-ed soccer. The fee is $40 per player, $80 max per family. There are no residency requirements. The Shore Athletic Club’s All-Comers Track and Field Meets at Ocean Township High School will begin Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. The Tuesday evening meets will running through July 19.

All meets will be staged in men’s and women’s open, boys and girls 9U, 10-11, 12-14, 15-18 and men’s and women’s Masters 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70U divisions. Entry fees are $3 per meet and $10 for all four. Advanced registration is not necessary.
