TRENTON A 44-year-old East Windsor man who admitted raping a 12-year-old girl last year is facing up to 12 years in prison, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Anthony Scott will have to serve more than 10 years before he’s eligible for release, according to spokeswoman Casey DeBlasio. He was sentenced to 12 years Friday by Superior Court Judge Maryann Bielamowicz.
The girl testified that she was forced to have sexual intercourse several times in January and February 2005, Ms. DeBlasio said.
The girl became pregnant, and Mr. Scott was linked to her through DNA testing, Ms. DeBlasio confirmed. Mr. Scott had told the girl he would kill her and her mother if the girl revealed what he was doing, according to comments from Assistant Prosecutor Jennifer Downing, confirmed by Ms. DeBlasio.
Mr. Scott also was fined $2,000, and will be required to register with police under Megan’s Law after he’s released.
He was arrested March 24, 2005, indicted Oct 21, 2005 and pleaded guilty Feb 16, 2006.
