Save Barnegat Bay annual meeting June 29

Save Barnegat Bay will conduct its annual meeting at 7 p.m. June 29 at the Lavallette First Aid building located between Washington and Philadelphia avenues (near the water tower). Mike Kennish, dean of scientists studying Barnegat Bay, will speak about the ecological health of the Barnegat Bay – Little Egg Harbor Estuary. In addition, Jim Merritt will give a brief talk on the reintroduction of oysters into Barnegat Bay.

The meeting will also include a brief update on education, advocacy and volunteer opportunities throughout the watershed in addition to the election of directors and officers.

The meeting is open to the public. Babysitting will be provided in the same room.

Adults over 60 sought

for study at Rutgers

The Rutgers University Psychology Department is seeking adults for a study who are at least 60 years of age; are able to complete a two-hour assessment at Rutgers University; can read, speak, and write in English; are not color blind; are right-handed; have no known brain disease or terminal illness; and have no current or history of mood or psychiatric problems. Participants will be paid $20 for completing the tasks.
