Ronald McDonald House gets new playground

A new playground was installed yesterday at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch on Bath Avenue by a group of volunteers from the financial company that funded the project.

The playground will be open to the families of seriously ill children staying at the house, providing a place for sick children who feel well enough to play and do regular “kid stuff,” according to a press release from the Ronald McDonald House.

The Princeton office of Credit Suisse, an international financial services company, secured a $45,000 grant through the Credit Suisse Foundation to fund the playground project. They will also be funding an additional capital project at the Ronald McDonald House New Brunswick facility, according to the release.

The group of volunteers took time off from work to dismantle the old playground on July 26 and to install the new equipment.
