Florence Hopkins

   COOKSTOWN — Florence Hopkins, 84, died Saturday at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.
   Born in New Hanover Township, she was a lifelong area resident.
   Wife of the late Ezekiel Hopkins and mother of the late Patricia Roscoe, she is survived by a son, Wayne Hopkins of Cookstown; a son-in-law, William Roscoe of Cookstown; a brother, Robert "Sonny" Nutt of Browns Mills; three sisters, Marie Seeds of Cream Ridge, Irene Hopkins of Cookstown and Ruth Dupee of Millville; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Whitbeck of Cookstown; three grandchildren, Tracy Graessle of Chesterfield, Kimberly Kratzer of Cookstown and Melissa Roscoe of Cookstown; and five great-grandchildren, Joshua Gary and Becky, Billy, Matthew and Nicholas Graessle.
   Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St., in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
   Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Pemberton Borough.

Frank Bailey

   FLORENCE — Frank (Bialopiotrowicz) Bailey, 82, died Aug. 26 at home.
   Born in Trenton, Mr. Bailey lived most of his life in Trenton before moving to Roebling in 1995.
   He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II in the Engineers Combat Battalion and fought in the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle at the Rhine River for the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen, Germany.
   He retired in 1984 after 16 years of service as a staff auditor for the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation, Ewing Township offices.
   Mr. Bailey was the founder of the Frank Bailey Orchestra and Dance Band. His orchestra was the house band for the Princeton Inn from 1953 to 1970. Additionally, he was the pianist at the Schriner’s Crescent Temple, Trenton, during their variety, talent and musical performances during the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s. Mr. Bailey enjoyed playing the organ at home and at various area establishments. It was well known to all that "music was his life."
   He was a life member of the American Legion, North Trenton Post 458; life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hamilton Post 3525; a charter member of the National Association of Cost Accountants, New Jersey Chapter; and honorary life member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 62.
   Son of the late Frank and Stella Ancuiszko Bialopiotrowicz, husband of the late Dolores Klimaszewski Bailey, brother of the late Jean Zdunczyk and Loretta Bartko, he is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Carol Mendenko of Bordentown Township and Francine and Jack Michaels of Mercerville; his son, Frank S. Bailey of Cape May; two granddaughters, Jacqueline Michaels and her fiancé Joshua Kuhns and Tara Ann Michaels; his brother and sister-in-law, Victor J. and Mildred Bialopiotrowicz of Orlando, Fla.; several nieces and nephews and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
   The funeral was held Tuesday from the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave.
   Funeral liturgy was celebrated Tuesday in St. Hedwig’s Church with Fr. Jacek Labinski and Msgr. Henry Bogdan presiding.
   Burial was in the Veteran’s Field of Honor section in Greenwood Cemetery.

Hugh W. Kemble

   CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Hugh W. Kemble, 92, of Center Valley, Pa., formerly of West Amwell Township, died Aug. 24 at Sacred Heart Senior Living by Saucon Creek, Center Valley, Pa.
   Born in Trenton, Aug. 10, 1914, he was the son of the late LeRoy and Delphinia (Dempster) Kemble-Miller.
   He worked as a carpenter for the Homasote Company in West Trenton for many years until retiring in 1977.
   He served during World War II in the U.S. Army as a medic. He served in the Civil Conservation Corp in 1933 and was a member of Cavalry Episcopal Church in Flemington.
   Mr. Kemble is survived by his wife, Irene E. Edge, to whom he was married 46 years; son, Bruce A. Kemble of Bordentown; daughter, Joan S., wife of Thomas A. Goodwin Sr. of Bethlehem; brother, Norman Kemble Sr. of West Amwell Township; two grandchildren, Thomas A. Jr. and Kristina M. Goodwin; and several nieces and nephews.
   Memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 735 Delaware Ave., Hellertown.
   The interment will be held 1 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Old Rocks Church Cemetery, West Amwell Township.

Agnes A. Furth

   NEW EGYPT — Agnes A. Furth, 88, of New Egypt, died Aug. 22 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Trenton, she resided in the area all her life before moving to New Egypt 33 years ago. A former member of St. Hedwig’s Church in Trenton, Mrs. Furth retired in 1973 from General Electric where she worked for many years. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing bingo.
   Daughter of the late Martin and Anna Solinski, she was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence B. Furth and her brother Edward Solinski. She is survived by one step-son, Lawrence B. Furth Jr. and Marsha Rhodes of Fieldsboro; three stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Robert Ryan of Bordentown Township, Rita and John McHugh of Locust Grove, Va., and Barbara and Leh Laquatra of Bordentown Township; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Mary Laverne Hardesky of Bordentown Township, Erma Solinski of Ewing Township and Helen Furth of Cookstown; two nieces, Linda Solinski of Ewing Township and Janet Tucker and her husband Thomas of Levittown, Pa.; a nephew, Thomas Bayden of Bordentown Township; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at St. Mary Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment followed in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery, Arneytown.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Elizabeth Wilbert

   TRENTON — Elizabeth Wilbert, 90, died Aug. 21.
   Born in Roebling, she lived most of her life in Hamilton. She loved playing card and board games with her family and friends. Mrs. Wilbert came to live with her daughter’s family in 1986 and was dearly loved for her kindness and companionship.
   Preceded in death by her daughter Ann Louise Wilbert, she is survived by a sister, Julia Varga of Bordentown; daughter, Elaine Hornal of Waialua, Hawaii; and Stepsons, Russell and Jeames Wilbnert of Hamilton.
   Her ashes will be scattered off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii.

Harley F. Parker

   SUGAR GROVE, W.V. — Harley F. Parker, 86, died Aug. 19 at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Virginia. Born in Trenton, he was a resident of the Hamilton and Bordentown area all his life before moving to Virginia one and a half years ago.
   Mr. Parker was the owner and operator of Parkers Garage in Hamilton for many years and after retirement he served as a crossing guard for Hamilton Township.
   He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
   He was an avid roller skater in Pennsauken, a member of the Over 80 Ski Club, served as a member of the Crime Watch on Broad Street and was a member for 60 years of the Mercer 50 Lodge F&AM.
   Son of the late Willard and Ina Ford Parker, he is survived by his children, W. Ralph and Vivian Parker of West Virginia, Shirley and husband Charles Ryan of Manchester, Ronald and wife Patricia Parker of Princeton, and Loretta and husband Charles Jobes of Whiting; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two nephews and one niece in Florida.
   Funeral services were held Aug. 24 from the Kingston and Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton.
   Burial followed in the Colonial Memorial Park in Hamilton.
