   Knopf Street resident Kimberly Bezick, 24, was charged with having an open container of beer in public while on South Main Street at 8:51 p.m. Aug. 21.
   Police said Ms. Bezick was carrying a beer while walking on a sidewalk near the Spring Garden Restaurant.
   Ms. Bezick was processed and released after receiving a borough summons.

At 4:32 a.m. Aug. 22, a Boesel Avenue resident reported someone entered his locked 1995 Isuzu Rodeo and stole $15 in change and a green bag of clothing while the vehicle was parked in his driveway overnight.

Rolando Miranda, 26, of South Main Street, was charged with two burglaries at 10:43 a.m. Aug. 22.
   Police said on Aug. 14, a Spring Garden Restaurant employee reported that someone entered the South Main Street business through the rear entrance unlocked door during the overnight hours and stole $100 cash.
   Police also charged Mr. Miranda with taking another $100 from Spring Garden again one week later.
   Mr. Miranda was transported to headquarters and then Somerset County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail with a 10 percent option.

   When police charged Cindy Webster, 49, with panhandling on the sidewalk in front of the Manville Diner at 1:13 p.m. Aug. 22, officers noticed a prescription bottle in her purse she had reported stolen the day before.
   Ms. Webster, who police said is homeless, reported at 11:33 a.m. Aug. 21 that several Klonopin pills, an anti-seizure and anxiety medication, were stolen from her purse while she left it unattended.
   Ms. Webster was then charged with filing a false police report, in addition to the panhandling charge. She was transported to Somerset County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.

Somerville resident Carmen L. Jackson, 37, was charged with numerous motor vehicle violations at 8:23 p.m. Aug. 22 while driving on North Main Street.
   Ms. Jackson was charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to inspect, an uninsured vehicle and failure to provide documents, according to police.
   The vehicle was towed and Ms. Jackson was transported to headquarters and released to a family member.

Jennifer Arena, 33, of Somerville, was charged with DWI after being stopped by police on Roosevelt Avenue at 9:33 p.m. Aug. 22.
   Police said Ms. Arena was originally stopped for speeding but was also charged with careless driving, and refusing a breath test.
   Ms. Arena was transported to headquarters, processed, charged with numerous motor vehicle violations and released to her mother.

At 12:54 a.m. Aug. 28, a caller reported seeing a man break into the Manville Food and Tobacco store on South Main Street and left leave on a bicycle, according to police.
   Police said the suspect intruder entered the store by breaking a window, but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Paul Mason, 18, of Califon, was charged with shoplifting from Quick Check on Brooks Boulevard at 1 a.m. Aug. 28.
   Police said Mr. Mason concealed a 20-ounce bottle of salad dressing and a turkey wrap sandwich, priced at $8.44 altogether, underneath his clothes.
   Bail was set at $1,000 and he was lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
