   Veronica "Ronnie" M. Rossi died Aug. 26 at Compassionate Care Hospice in St. Francis Medical Center. She was 83.
   Born in Trenton, Mrs. Rossi grew up in Hamilton Township and resided in Lawrenceville for the past 47 years. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School class of 1940 and worked for the state of New Jersey before becoming a homemaker and raising her family.
   Daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel Moore Burns and wife of the late Gilbert P. Rossi, and sister of the late Joseph Burns, Mildred McMullen and Richard Burns. Mrs. Rossi is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry McDermott of Lawrenceville; her son and daughter-in-law, Gilbert (Chip) Rossi and Elizabeth (Betsy) Rossi of Glen Allen, Va.; and her sister Virginia Rice of Mercerville. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Marcie McDermott Dean and her husband Brian, Jeremy McDermott, Lauran McDermott Hocquaux and her husband Remi, David Rossi and his companion Teri Wang, and Marc Rossi; three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Dean, Meghan Dean and Tristan Hocquaux; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the Church of St. Ann in Lawrence. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery Mausoleum in Hamilton. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrence.

John M. McCreedy
   John M. "Huck" McCreedy Sr., of Hamilton, died Saturday at home. He was 85.
   Born in Cranford, he was a resident of Lawrenceville for 40 years prior to moving to Hamilton six years ago.
   Mr. McCreedy retired as the food service manager of Princeton University in 1987 after 19 years of service.
   He was an Army veteran of World War II.
   Son of the late William J. and Anne Ryan McCreedy, husband of the late Alice Anen McCreedy, father of the late Michael McCreedy, he is survived by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Foster and her husband Bill of Winter Park, Fl.; three sons, William J. McCreedy, John M. McCreedy Jr. and his wife Susan, and David McCreedy and his wife Ivy, all of Hamilton; and four grandchildren, Kelly and Tricia McCreedy, of Hamilton, Erica Lush of Winter Park, Fl. and Jordan McCreedy, of Hamilton.
   The funeral will be held 9 a.m. today at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrence. Burial will be in the Princeton Cemetery.

Samuel DeGasperis
   Samuel DeGasperis, of Lawrenceville, died Friday at Capital Health System’s Fuld campus. He was 81.
   Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Lawrenceville for the past 45 years. He retired in 1987 as the assistant director of the Department of Taxation for the State of New Jersey after 20 years of service.
   Mr. DeGasperis was a veteran of World War II, serving as a sergeant with the U.S. Army, was a recipient of two battle stars and saw action in New Guinea, Biak and the Philippines Islands and was with the first wave of occupational forces to enter the city of Hiroshima after the first atomic bomb was dropped. Upon being discharged from the Army, he attended Rider University (then Rider College) and received his Bachelor of Science degree with the class of 1949. He was also a former president for 20 years of the Lawrence Township Democratic Club.
   Son of the late Pasquale and Angelina Onorato DeGasperis, he is survived by his wife, Regina Stankiewicz DeGasperis; his daughter, Trish Sanborn and her husband Ken of Longboat Key, Fl.; his grandson Harrison and granddaughter Jenna Starr. He is also survived by his sister Susan Fosky, of Yardley, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at the Church of St. Ann, Lawrence. Burial was at St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.

Sylvia N. Dziura
   Sylvia N. "Sis" Dziura died Saturday at St. Francis Medical Center. She was 94.
   Mrs. Dziura was a lifelong Trenton resident.
   Widow of the late John J. Dziura, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Stawska Zablocki, and sister of the late Helen Dawidowski, Stella Zablocki, Stanley Zablocki and Jean Babalya, Mrs. Dziura is survived by her son, Daniel (Danny) Dziura and his wife Jane of Lawrence; grandson Michael and his wife Cynthia, great-grandson Keith M. and great-granddaughter Amy N., all of Mansfield; and grandson Kevin D., great-granddaughter Morgan S. and great-grandson Ian S., of Lawrence. Also surviving are a sister, Viola Bakos, with whom she resided at the Millhouse Healthcare Center, and sister, Sophie Labonski, of Trenton; a special niece, Joyce Bakos of Burlington; and several other nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held Wednesday, Aug. 30 at the Winowicz Funeral Chapel. Burial was at St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Ewing Township.

Esther Sacks-Wilner
   Esther Posen Sacks-Wilner died Aug. 22 at Capital Health System’s Fuld campus.
   Born in Trenton and a lifelong resident, she assisted her husband in his medical practice for many years.
   Mrs. Sacks-Wilner was a member of Adath Israel Congregation and its Women’s League and Women for Greenwood House. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and Girl Scouts of America.
   Daughter of the late Isaac and Miriam Leapman Posen, sister of the late Joseph and Lillian Posen, and wife for 62 years of the late Dr. Arthur Sacks-Wilner, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Stephen Gallon of Trenton and Joan Sacks-Wilner and Lee Weisbach of Lawrence; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Marie Sacks-Wilner of Medford; a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and David Green of Plainview, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Sunday at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing Township. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery.

Rosa Reynolds
   Rosa Belle Reynolds, of Lawrenceville, died Aug. 22 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was 65.
   Ms. Reynolds was born in Camden, S.C. She was a longtime resident of Ewing and Lawrence Township. She completed her education in the Ewing public schools. Ms. Reynolds was formerly employed as a teacher at Parents for Action daycare. She was a longtime member of St. John Baptist Church in Ewing and was a member of the Missionary Ministry.
   Predeceased by a brother, McKinley Reynolds and sister, Jackqueline Reynolds Alexander, she is survived by her daughter, Tina Reynolds and granddaughters, Angelina and Selena of West Windsor; a special daughter, Tina Stewart of Ewing; seven sisters, three brothers and two brothers-in-law, Juanita Brown, Mary Burnett and Madeline Lacey of Ewing; Barbara Stratford of Hartford, Conn.; Suzanne Reynolds of Trenton; Margaret Reynolds of Hamilton, Marie Buie (Prestion Buie) of Levittown, Pa.; Robert Reynolds of Trenton; James Reynolds of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Rone Reynolds of Red Bank, brother-in-law Leon Alexander of Trenton; friends Reginald Turner, Russell Thurston, Lawaner Wilkins, Pat Valentine-Bruno, Florence Leftwich, Delores Murray and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends.
   Funeral services were held Monday at St. Johns Baptist Church, Ewing. Interment was at Ewing Cemetery.
Anna Louise Foyuth
   Anna Louise Foyuth, of Lawrenceville, died Monday at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. She was 92.
   Born in Coy, Pa., she was an area resident most of her life.
   Mrs. Foyuth retired after 30 years of service as an assembly line worker for General Motors in Ewing.
   Daughter of the late Andrew and Theresa Mati Bartko, wife of the late Edward B. Foyuth and sister of the late Andrew Bartko Jr., George Bartko, Mary Novitski and Margaret Babecki, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Darryl C. and Mary Ann Foyuth, of Lawrence, her grandson Bernard Foyuth, her brother Robert L. Bartko and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, Lawrence. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
