Steven Nudelman Steven Nudelman The Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its 14th annual largest networking party Sept. 12 from 5-8 p.m. on the rooftop of the Hyatt Regency, New Brunswick. Tickets are $35 at the door and $25 in advance. More than 120 exhibitors will be present, such as Johnson & Johnson, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Wachovia Bank and United Way of Central Jersey. Chefs from the Pluckemin Inn, The David Drake, Stage Left and Sophie’s Bistro will also be preparing signature dishes. The Rotary Club of New Brunswick will hold its fourth annual murder mystery dinner Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. at the State Theatre, 15 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick. The event will feature professional actors and foods from various New Brunswick restaurants. There will also be a silent auction. Cost is $75 at the door, and $65 in advance. The Entrepreneurial Training Institute (ETI), Trenton, will offer the classes “Earned Income Venture for Nonprofits” Oct. 11 and 18 from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The feasibility class will be at Commercialization Center for Innovative Technologies, 675 Route 1, North Brunswick. Rainbow Academy child care centers was recently nominated for the New Jersey Family Business of the Year Award. The academy has locations in Rutherford, Whippany, Brick, Iselin, Cranford, Woodbridge, North Brunswick and Summit. The award is sponsored by New Jersey Monthly magazine, PNC Financial Services Group Inc. and the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University. It recognizes the role family businesses play in the nation’s economy, as well as their importance and contributions to the state and local business community.

Guy Falzarano, Colonia section of Woodbridge, is president and CEO of Rainbow. The family-owned center was founded in 1997 in Iselin. It employs more than 250 child care professionals and can accommodate 1,573 children. Falzarano’s wife, Julia, is director of the Iselin center. Son Louis is co-director of the Cranford center, Guy Jr. is the creative director for marketing, and David is a teaching assistant in the Iselin center.

Steven Nudelman, Tinton Falls, an associate in the Woodbridge office of Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP, has received a 2006 APEX Award for Publication Excellence in Feature Series Writing for his article, “A Primer on Liability for Plumbing Professionals,” published in Plumbing Systems & Design. Awards are based on excellence in editorial content, graphic design and the success of the entry in communications effectiveness and excellence. Nudel-man is a member of the firm’s litigation department, and co-authored of the New Jersey chapter of CPI LienLaw Online. He is a member of the New Jersey State, American, Middlesex and Monmouth County Bar Associations. He is a cum laude graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y., and received his law degree cum laude at Brooklyn (N.Y.) Law School, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award in legal writing.
