Middlesex County College students majoring in business administration will be able to transfer seamlessly to DeVry University, North Brunswick, under an agreement struck by the two schools.
“Middlesex business graduates can transition smoothly into the business administration major at DeVry University and complete their bachelor’s degree,” said Karen Hays, vice president for academic and student affairs at Middlesex. “They must complete the associate degree at Middlesex with a grade-point average of at least 2.0. DeVry will accept at least 60 semester credits toward the bachelor’s degree. This makes DeVry a very attractive possibility for our students looking to transfer.”
Betsy Pajauis, transfer adviser and articulation specialist at Middlesex, said one exciting feature of the agreement is a DeVry scholarship covering two courses. The two courses are only offered by DeVry and are required for full junior status upon entrance. Middlesex students planning to transfer to DeVry may, up to a year in advance, take the two “bridge courses” at DeVry at no charge. He or she would then be prepared to transfer in as full juniors.
“DeVry University is pleased to offer this opportunity to Middlesex County College graduates, especially since Middlesex is the home county of the DeVry Campus,” DeVry President Harold Y. McCulloch said.
Pajauis also said she expects other agreements to be developed between the two schools for more academic programs.
