Republican Richard Kish will be moving out of state.
Republican Mayoral Candidate Richard Kish is dropping out of the race.
Mr. Kish, who earned a spot on the ballot after waging a write-in campaign during the June primary, said in an e-mail today (Thursday) that he had "accepted a job offer with the company that I have been with for 24 years" and that his new job will require him to move with his family to another state.
"This was a very difficult decision to make, but the right one for my career, my family, and one I believe each of you would support," he said in the e-mail. (The full text of the letter can be found at the Post’s new community blog, The Blog of South Brunswick.)
He said in the letter that Lynda Woods Cleary, Republican candidate for Township Council, would now be running for mayor.
