+ Cruise Nights/Car Show, to benefit the Sayreville Brain Injured Children Association, sponsored by the Just Us Cruisers classic car club, 6-9 p.m., at the Paramount Diner, Route 35, South Amboy/Sayreville. Family-oriented events featuring more than 50 antique and classic cars from across the tri-state area. Trophies; games; music from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s. Members of East Brunswick Policemen’s Benevolent Association No. 145 vs. members of East Brunswick fire companies. All proceeds go to Alison. + Car Wash, sponsored by the South River High School Cheerleaders, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Elks Lodge No. 2033, Main Street, South River. Cost is $5 for cars, $7 for vans and trucks. Proceeds help defer the cost of the cheerleaders’ sneakers and uniforms.
