John M. Strigel

   HAMILTON — John M. Strigel (wacky Jack), 62, died Aug. 30 at home.
   A U.S. Army veteran, he retired from General Motors. He enjoyed working on cars and building high-performance machines.
   An avid boater and water skier, he taught countless people how to water ski. He loved animals, especially his cat, Frankie. He was a blood donor on a regular basis and enjoyed helping people. He also enjoyed vacationing in St. Lucia for the past 15 years with his wife.
   Son of the late John and Mary Horvath Strigel, he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nancy L. Green Strigel; his son and daughter-in-law Miles and JoAnne Bacon of Allentown,; daughter Amber Strigel of Hamilton; granddaughters Lindsay Catanese and Jennifer Bacon; two sisters and a brother-in law, Patricia Kopacz of Trenton and Kathy and Tom Small of Hamilton; a brother and sister-in-law, Gregory and Carol Strigel of Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Funeral services were held Saturday at Knott’s Colonial Funeral Hme in Hamilton, followed by internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Alan Peter Mifflin

   HAMILTON — Alan Peter Mifflin, 25, died Aug. 29.
   Born in Hamilton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   Mr. Mifflin was employed by Nigito Construction in Bergen County and was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Seaside Heights Fishing Club.
   Grandson of the late Howard and Eleanor Mifflin, he is survived by his father, Richard J. Mifflin I of Groveville; his mother and stepfather, Adeline and John Amodio of Hamilton; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Salsbury of Hamilton; two brothers, Richard J. Mifflin II of Hamilton and Jonathan Mifflin of Groveville; a sister and brother-in-law, Normajean and John Meheski of Hamilton; four aunts and their husbands, Norma and Paul Nigito of Bergen County, Alice and Nandi Palmia of Allentown, Grace Salsbury and Kismet Natiku, both of Hamilton; seven uncles and their wives, Russell and Lillian Mifflin of Lawrenceville, Howard and Sheila Mifflin of New York, Frank Mifflin of Browns Mills, Roy and Diane Snow of Lancaster, Pa., Joe Salsbury, Fred Salsbury, both of Bergen County, and Bill Salsbury of Florida; a niece, Cecelia Meheski of Hamilton; a close cousin, Angela Petretta of Trenton; and several other cousins and friends.
   Funeral services were held Saturday from the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.
   Cremation will be private.
Donald E. Sprague

   WASHINGTON — Donald E. Sprague, 80, died Aug. 28 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, Mr. Sprague was a lifelong area resident and was retired from ADT of Lawrenceville.
   He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of the Trenton Cyrus Lodge #5 and the Crescent Temple of Trenton.
   Mr. Sprague is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen P. Sprague; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mearle and Joy Sprague, and Mark and Mariann Sprague; a stepdaughter, Arlene Bajek; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and several cousins.
   Family and friends visited calling hours at the Saul Memorial Home, 1740 Greenwood Ave., Trenton.
   Interment followed in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
