Elizabeth Falkenstein
MORRISVILLE, Pa. Elizabeth Ann Falkenstein, 67, of Morrisville, Pa., died Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Falkenstein was a resident of Morrisville for more than 44 years.
Mrs. Falkenstein retired as the secretary to the science department at Rider University where she had been employed for more than 20 years.
She was the widow of Harry F. Falkenstein and daughter of the late Anthony and Estelle Keifer Gallagher.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Joan M. and Ed Ramos of Morrisville and Beth A. Falkenstein of Morrisville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Harry F. Jr. and Sandy Falkenstein of Hamilton and Paul A. Falkenstein of New Hope; five grandchildren, Lauren, Ashley E., John, Michael and Patrick; and one brother, Anthony Gallagher, of Falls Church, Va.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Morrisville. Burial followed in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
Arrangements were under the direction of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville.
Marilyn Yannarella Clark
WILSON, N.C. Marilyn Yannarella Clark, 70, died Aug. 31 at her home.
Born in Trenton, Mrs. Clark lived in Lambertville most of her life and in Wilson for the past eight years.
She was a former member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Lambertville and current member of St. Therese R.C. Church in Wilson. She worked as a telephone operator for New Jersey Bell Telephone, and for many years, she and her family owned and operated Phil & Dan’s Italian Kitchen.
Daughter of the late Daniel and Philomena Yannarella, and sister of the late Santella (Sissy) Shurts, she is survived by her husband, Gene Clark; daughter Pamela Clark, formerly of Lambertville, and Nate Gay of Wilson; son Jonathan Gene Clark of Lambertville; daughter and son-in-law Becky and Ricky Melendez of Clearwater, Fla.; daughter Jena Clark and Chris Zaic of Lambertville; granddaughter Jodi Kostival and grandsons Ricky, T.J. and Alex Melendez; brothers and sisters-in-law Daniel (Sid) and Joan Yannarella, Charles and Kay Yannarella, and Joseph and Delores Yannarella; brother-in-law Bill Shurts; dear friends Audrey and Bruce West; close friends at Community Hospice; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. (Route 179), Lambertville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 44 Bridge St. Lambertville.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Harold J. Pfleiderer
EWING Harold J. Pfleiderer, 89, of West Trenton, died Friday at the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Hospital, Trenton.
Born and raised in the Wilbur neighborhood of Trenton, he served in World War II in the European theater, being wounded three times. On Jan. 1,1942, he married Bertha Reading, who at the time resided in Lambertville. Mr. Pfleiderer resided in Ewing Township for 57 years.
He was supervisor, Criminal Identification Bureau, Fingerprint Section for the New Jersey State Police. For many years, he was a member of the Yardley United Methodist Church and more recently of the Trinity United Methodist Church. He was active in the Trenton Elks No. 105, the Masons and Senior Citizens.
Son of the late Jacob and Maude Witmer Pfleiderer; he is survived by his wife, Bertha Reading Pfleiderer; two daughters, Jean D. Pfleiderer, of Kingston Ontario, Canada, and Marjorie W. Pfleiderer, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Hazel Mitchell of Bangor, Maine; a grandson, Andrew Pfleiderer, of Guelph, Ontario; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Wednesday at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington.
Interment will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery at a later date.

Carole Schaum Mullen
HAMILTON Carole Schaum Mullen, 72, died Friday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.
She was born in Roebling and had resided in the Mercerville area before moving to Florida in 1983. She returned to the Hamilton area five years ago.
Mrs. Mullen was a registered nurse. Most recently she was the director of Partners in Caring, Stuart, Fla.
The wife of the late Robert W. Mullen Sr., she is survived by her father, Carl C. Schaum III, of Casselberry, Fla.; two sons, Robert W. Mullen Jr., of Avon-by-the-Sea, and Timothy A. Mullen, of Mantua; three daughters, Debra Lynn Mullen, of New Hope, Pa., Wendi Jo Rice, of Casselberry, Fla., and BethAnn Higgins, of Hamilton; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral was held Tuesday from the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to either Compassionate Care Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
