HIGHTSTOWN A local man has been charged with a string of downtown burglaries.
Richard Wolfmuller, 24, of Academy Street was charged Monday with burglaries over the last two months at the Slowdown Café and the Hightstown Diner, according to Detective Benjamin Miller .
Mr. Wolfmuller was charged with five counts of burglary, two counts of attempted burglary, five counts of theft of movable property and three counts of criminal mischief at the eateries on Mercer Street.
Detective Miller said the charges were made as a result of forensic evidence found at the scenes.
Mr. Wolfmuller was being held Thursday in the Mercer County Correction Center on unrelated charges. Further information was unavailable at press time.
