Barbara A. Morris
   EAST WINDSOR — Barbara A. Morris, 63, died Aug. 31.
   Born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y., she was a registered nurse the past 22 years at the Veteran’s Home in Edison, N.Y. and recently was employed through St. Peter’s Hospital as a nurse for the Clearbrook Adult Community in Monroe Township.
   She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church of Hightstown and a member of its Altar Rosary Society and the Rosa Mystica.
   Predeceased by a sister and brother, she is survived by three brothers and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
   The funeral will be held 10:45 a.m. Saturday at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated noon Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown.
   Calling hours will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Anthony of Padua Church Building Fund, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown, NJ 08520.
Anne M. Mantuano

   TRENTON — Anne M. Mantuano, 45, of the Chambersburg section of Trenton, died Aug. 30 at Waters Edge Nursing Home, South Trenton.
   Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of the area since she was 18 years ago. She was a graduate of Council Rock High School and was employed at Acme Markets Bakery Department in Lawrenceville.
   She is survived by her husband of 12 years, John M. Mantuano; sons John M., Michael J. and Robert M. Mantuano, all at home; father John Albesser of Pa.; sister Jeannie of Holland, Pa.; mother-in-law Millie Mantuano of East Windsor; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Thomas and Joellen Mantuano of Hamilton, Karen and Kenny Zanoni of Mass., Patricia Mantuano of Ewing and Diane and George Schnurr of Freehold; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
   A funeral service was held at the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, Trenton.
   Burial was in Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton.
Jack Meckler

   MONROE — Jack Meckler, 89, died Monday at Residence of Forsgate, Monroe Township.
   Born in Russia, he came to the United States when he was 3 years old. He lived most of his life in Freehold before moving to Monroe Township six years ago.
   Mr. Meckler was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1942 to 1945 and was a member of the Jewish War Veterans. During his lifetime, he worked as a farmer and a salesman.
   He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lillian; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stuart and Iris of Freehold and Harold and Nanette of Tuscan, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law Belle and David Shebses of East Windsor; grandchildren David, Nicole and Eric Weston, Lisa, Amy and Jonathan Rudnick, Michael and Anna Meckler and Daniel; and great-grandchildren Darren, Ryan and Jason.
   Services were held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan.
   Interment followed in Freehold Hebrew Ben. Society Cemetery, Freehold.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Martha N. Szymczak

   HIGHTSTOWN — Martha N. Szymczak, 68, died Sept. 1 at her home.
   Born in New York City, she was a longtime Hightstown area resident and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church.
   She was a former member of the Monroe Township Democratic Committee and the Monroe Township PTA.
   She was a homemaker and child care provider and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.
   She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Henry Szymczak; daughter and son-in-law Michalina Ann and Kenneth E. Jacobs; three sons, Henry Allen, Frank Vito and his wife, Leslie, and Bernardo John Szymczak; three sisters, Jennie A. Rubino and her husband, Ciro, Concetta M. Rubino, and Jean Kokal and her husband, Tom; 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Allen, Eric Michael, Jeffrey Paul, Bernie, Joseph, Debra and Michael Szymczak, Kenneth, Haley Ann and Samantha Jacobs; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Funeral services were held at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, Hightstown.
   A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Hightstown.
   Interment was private.

Elaine C. Robertson

   EAST WINDSOR — Elaine C. Robertson, 65, died Aug. 29 at her home in East Windsor.
   Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., she also lived in Parsippany and Houston, Texas, before moving to East Windsor in 1986.
   She was co-owner of the Forrestal Travel Agency in Princeton for many years.
   Predeceased by her parents, Charles E. and Ruth O. Terjesen, she is survived by son Spencer C. Robertson of East Windsor; daughter Jessica L. Robertson of East Windsor; brother Charles E. Terjesen of Forked River; grandson Samuel; and one niece and one nephew.
   Cremation and funeral services were private.

Jonathan R. Tifft

   VACAVILLE, Calif. — Jonathan R. Tifft, 62, of Vacaville, Calif., died Aug. 30 at the home of his sister.
   Born in Trenton, he was raised in Hightstown. He lived in Northern California for the past 30 years.
   Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elsa Tifft, and his sister Veronica Tifft, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Anita Tifft of Williamstown, Mass.; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne and Ken Hitchner of Hightstown, Sandra and Jim Guthrie of Falling Waters, W.V., Barbara and Gerry Maier of Millstone, and Deborah and Bob Tufts of Stuart, Fla.; 16 nieces and nephews; and many friends.
   A memorial gathering will be held Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown.
   Private cremation will follow with burial in the family plot at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y., at a later date.

Robert Louis Nady

   WEST WINDSOR — Robert Louis Nady, 38, died Sept. 1.
   He was born in Princeton and grew up in West Windsor.
   Mr. Nady was a graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, and had been a mechanic at Al’s Sunoco for 22 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, stock car racing, and was a member of the Polar Bear Motorcycle Club and the Plainsboro Gun Club.
   He is survived by his parents, Louis and Carol Nady of West Windsor; daughter Brittany (14); brother Christopher Louis Nady of Hamilton; sister and brother-in-law Donna and Mason Elkridge of Hightstown; nieces Kaitlyn, Jacklyn and Jillian; close friends Annette Zajacz and Louis Munoz; longtime friend Wendy Conover; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
   Funeral services were held at A.S. Cole Funeral Home, Cranbury.
   Cremation will be private.

Kenneth E. Stettner

   HIGHTSTOWN — Mr. Kenneth E. Stettner, 97, died Monday at the Meadows Lakes Care Facility in Hightstown.
   Born in Stone Ridge, N.Y., he lived most of his life on Staten Island, N.Y., moving to Rossmoor in Monroe Township in 1968. After graduating from college with a degree in chemical engineering, Mr. Stettner had a long career as a plant manager for Proctor and Gamble Co. in Port Ivy, N.Y., retiring in 1968. He served in the Navy during WWII, and achieved the rank of lieutenant commander.
   He is predeceased by his wife, Ruth E. Watson Stettner, who died in 1989, and is survived by a nephew, Edward Stettner of Southborough, Mass.
   Private funeral and cremation services were handled by M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe Township.
