Mary M. Anderson
   ALLENTOWN — Mary M. Anderson, 88, died Sept. 8 at home
   Born and raised in Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Anderson resided in Largo, Fla. for more than 30 years before moving to Allentown in 2005.
   A graduate of Alvernia High School in Chicago, she was the former head of the Warrant Department of the Chicago Traffic Bureau, retiring in 1974.
   Wife of the late John Anderson, she is survived by her daughter, with whom she lived, Karen Sieben; four grandchildren, Christopher Sieven of Medford, Elizabeth Sieben of East Windsor, Jeffrey Sieben of Allentown, and Jeanne Sieben of Newark, Del.; one great-grandson, Tyson Sieben of Medford; and two nephews, Timothy Johnsen of Salt Springs, Fla., and William Johnsen of Downers Grove, Ill.
   Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, with the Rev. Patrick Castles officiating.
   Interment followed in St. John’s Cemetery.


   WASHINGTON — Lucille Klotsky, 82, died Aug. 7 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Bronx, N.Y., she spent most of her life as a resident of New Jersey. She married Jack Klotsky in 1948.
   She retired from the Millstone school district, having been the librarian there for almost 20 years.
   She is survived by her husband, Jack Klotsky; two daughters, Robin-Ann Klotsky and Cara Moshinsky; son-in-laws Michael Reffler and Bill Moshinsky; and three grandchildren, Sara Reffler, Joshua Moshinsky and Evan Moshinsky.
   The funeral was held Sunday at the Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave., Route 527 N., Englishtown.
   Burial was at the Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville.
William E. Pieslak Jr.

   TRENTON — William E. Pieslak Jr., 81, of Bordentown, died Sept. 7 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII, Mr. Pieslak retired from Princeton University, where he worked in the Plasma Physics Lab. He was an avid computer enthusiast.
   He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly Pieslak; three children, Phillip Pieslak of Burlington, Martin and his wife Barbara Pieslak of Hamilton Square, and Patricia Wolfer of Cream Ridge; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Mary Pieslak of Vineland; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Jason, Abbie, Jennifer and Stephanie; and two great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment followed in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery.

Wesley K. Metzger

   HAMILTON — Wesley K. Metzger, 74, died Sept. 6 in St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, Mr. Metzger was a lifelong Hamilton Township resident, where he was a partner for many years with both Metzger and Schulman Excavating and Steinert Bus Co.
   He was a member of the Hamilton Elks BPOE No. 2262, the Hamilton Kiwanis Club and Gothic Lodge F&AM No. 270 for many years.
   Mr. Metzger was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and an avid golfer.
   Son of the late Harry and Esther (Young) Metzger and brother-in-law of the late Robert E. Walsh, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Zenaide Metzger of Hamilton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gloria and Lewis Koushel of Robbinsville and Janet R. Walsh of Whiting; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald Y. and Louise M. Metzger of Yardley, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
   A funeral service was held Saturday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, with the Rev. Leon A. Forsberg officiating.
   Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
Frank C. Moore

   PLUMSTED — Frank C. Moore, 70, died Sept. 3 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in New Egypt, he was a lifelong resident.
   Mr. Moore was a retired lineman with Jersey Central Power and Light in the Cookstown office and was a member of the Woodruff Rod and Gun Club in New Egypt. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1956.
   Husband of the late Shirley L. Moore and brother of the late James I. Moore and Roger L. Moore, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kathy Moore of Freehold; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Anthony Sansone of Okeana, Ohio; a brother, Jack Moore of Whiting; five grandchildren, Anthony, Frank and Samantha Sansone and Kylie and Kendall Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services and burial in the Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery were private.

Adam Schilk

   TRENTON — Adam Schilk, 85, died Sept. 5 at the Water’s Edge Nursing Center.
   Born in Pottstown, Pa., Mr. Schilk lived most of his life as a Trenton resident.
   He retired in 1985 after 25 years of service with the City of Trenton Parks and Recreation Division and previously worked in the city hall complex. He enjoyed his camper at Absecon and visiting Atlantic City. In his early years, Mr. Schilk was an avid area soccer player.
   Son of the late Francis and Suzanna Frederick Schilk; husband of the late Laure E. Dziak Schilk; brother of the late Frank Schilk and Katherine Stocker; he is survived by three nieces, Sandra M. and John Murranko of Cream Ridge, who were his longterm caregivers, Denise Brennan of Marietta, Ga., and Jane Schilk of Mercerville; two nephews, Michael Mazur of Avondale Estates, Ga. And Tom Schilk of Fla.; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
   The funeral was held Sept. 8 from the Wincowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets.
   Funeral Liturgy was celebrated in the Our Lady of the Angels Parish, Church of the Immaculate Conception, 540 Chestnut Ave.
   Burial was in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
Michael L. Thomson

   WASHINGTON — Dr. Michael L. Thomson, 60, study director at Products Safety Labs, died Sept. 4 at his residence.
   Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of the area for the past 33 years.
   He was a graduate of Temple University and Wayne State University, where he earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, and attended Johns Hopkins Medical School for a post-doctoral fellowship.
   He was a member of the Congregation Beth Chaim and American Jewish Congress.
   Son of the late Irving and Rose Thomson, he is survived by his wife, Susan Spivack Thomson; two sons, Ian Robert Thomson and Kevin Eric Thomson; a daughter, Farrah Renee Thomson; and a sister, Paula Frantz.
   Funeral services were held Sept. 8 at Congregation Beth Chaim, 329 Village Road, Princeton Junction.
   Burial followed at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose, Pa.
   The period of mourning was observed at the Thomson residence.
   The family requests that memorial contributions be offered to the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the ALS Association, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002.

Eleanor E. Pugliese

   HAMILTON — Eleanor E. Bodnar Pugliese, 70, died Sept. 3 at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Jessup, Pa., she had resided in Trenton prior to moving to Hamilton Township.
   She was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Trenton, and most recently of the St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church in Hamilton Square.
   She retired form the State of New Jersey, Department of Health and Senior Services after 27 years of service, most recently as supervisor of licensure and inspections for acute care facilities.
   She graduated as a registered nurse from the Ann May School of Nursing in Neptune. She received a bachelor of science degree in public health administration from Stockton State College, and later became a certified public manager. During her clinical nursing career, she worked at Fitkin Memorial Hospital in Neptune and at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
   Predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Ana Staskovic Bodnar, she is survived by her husband, John R. Pugliese of Hamilton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Douglas Klinefelter of Stevens, Pa., Mary and Duane Kalczynski of Robbinsville, and Erica and Raymond O’Grady of Middletown; four grandchildren, Jeffrey and Matthew Kalczynski and Connor and Catherine O’Grady; four siblings, Andrew Bodnar of Englewood, Colo., Anna Grala of Lawrenceville, Mary Breccia of Allentown, and Joseph Bodnar of Bordentown; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
   Funeral services were held Sept. 8 at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4680 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
   Interment followed at St. Mary of the Assumption Byzantine Catholic Cemetery No. 2, Hamilton.

David G. Wilbur Sr.

   HAMILTON — David G. Wilbur Sr., 69, died Sept. 4 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Princeton, he was a Hamilton resident most of his life.
   He was a retired detective with the Princeton Township Police Department with over 20 years of service.
   He was a former member of the Princeton Hook and Ladder Fire Co. and was a life member of the New Jersey State Fireman’s Association. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was on the first crew to serve on the USS Enterprise. He was an avid photographer and served as a scorekeeper for the American Legion Post 31 baseball team and was also a member of Post 31 and the Crescent Temple.
   Son of the late Earl and Mildred Gibbs Wilbur, he is survived by his children, son David and wife Kathy Wilbur of Allentown; daughters Sharon Wilbur of Hamilton and LeAnn and husband Stephen Beloyan and Dan and Katie Martinez; brothers Earl and wife Shirley Wilbur of South Carolina and Bill Wilbur of Fla.; and friend and cousin Martin Vanarsdale.
   Funeral services were held Sept. 8 from the Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton.
   Burial followed in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown.

Arnold W. Briggs

   TRENTON — Arnold W. Briggs, 87, died Sunday at the Capital Health System at Mercer.
   Born in Freehold, he had resided in the Trenton area for over 60 years.
   He was a retired correction officer for the New Jersey Neurological Psychiatric Institute in Skillman. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, banjo and piano. He also enjoyed painting, woodworking, building model airplanes, and built his own home.
   Son of the late Walter and Myrtle Walton Briggs, he is survived by his wife, Sarah Ford Briggs; three sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold W. and Alberta Briggs of Ewing, George and Clara Briggs of Ewing and Walter Briggs of Confluence, Pa.; a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Leon Burroughs of Ewing; two adopted children, Richard and his wife Timeka Briggs of North Carolina and Marisa Briggs of North Carolina; a brother, Henry Briggs of Allentown; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Irene Briggs Wiley of Allentown and Gloria and Fred Stacey of Allentown; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. today, Thursday, at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, with the Rev. Daniel Casselberry, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Ewing.
   Burial will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery.

Frances M. Carabelli

   HAMILTON — Frances Mazzilli Carabelli, 78, died Saturday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, she was a Hamilton resident since 1960.
   Ms. Carabelli was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, and as a young woman, she worked for her family store, Mazzilli’s Market, in Chambersburg. She was a homemaker, and was employed by St. Francis Medical Center Radiology Department for five years, and most recently she worked with her son, Dr. Robert Carabelli, at Back Rehabilitation Institute, from 1991 to 2001.
   She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel Mazzilli and Josephine Angeloni Mazzilli, sisters Marie Preto and Josephine Luccarelli, brother-in-law Carl Preto, sister-in-law Matilda Carabelli, father and mother-in-law Camillo and Filomena Carabelli, and nephew Robert Luccarelli. She is survived by her former husband, Pete Carabelli; sons and daughters-in-law, Peter Jr. and Irene Carabelli of Robbinsville, Dr. Robert Carabelli of Mansfield, and David and Concetta Carabelli of Hamilton; granddaughter Savina Carabelli; sister Antoinette and husband Leonard SanPaolo of Hamilton; brothers-in-law, Guido Luccarelli of Hamilton, Renato Carabelli of Hamlton, and Freeholder Anthony Carabelli and wife Carol of West Trenton; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
   The funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. today, Thursday, from the Gruerio Funeral Home, 311 Chestnut Ave., Trenton.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim Church, 20-56 Butler St., Trenton.
   Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
