The Old Bridge Revolution, a newly formed U12 girls soccer team, opened the fall season away against a tough Middletown team. Against a fast Middletown offense, the Revolution defense led by goalie Kelly Cameron, defenders Natasha Amaro, Kelsey Dunnigan, Emily Garcia, Kaitlyn Safchinsky and Amber Vargas, denied them several times in the early going. Midway through the first half, Middletown scored what would be the only goal of the game on a perfectly placed shot. The Revolution offense started to gel in the second half and had several chances but unfortunately were stopped by some fine goalkeeping. Kelsiann Acer, Tonilynn Taranto, Alanna Perotta and Kimmie D’Ermilio were some of the players applying pressure. Super all-around play was shown by Natalie Principato, Megan Huddy, Melissa Jerome, Kristen Jezycki and Sydney Martinez. The future certainly looks promising for this team. The Revolution are coached by Tony Taranto and Rui Amaro.
