Lambertville

   Saturday at 10:50 a.m., Arthur Lee Baker, 58, of Trenton was arrested by Trenton police on an outstanding warrant from Lambertville Municipal Court for hindering apprehension.
   Mr. Baker was turned over to Lambertville police and taken to Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $650.
   Saturday at 9:06 p.m., Robert D. Strouse, 46, of Nazareth, Pa., was charged with drunken driving.
   Mr. Strouse was stopped at Route 29 and Elm Street for speeding, police said.
   He also was charged with speeding and reckless driving and released without bail.
   Saturday at 11:45 p.m., police went to a complaint of noise on South Main Street.
   The tenant, Jerry T. Pinckney, 24, of Lambertville was arrested on two outstanding warrants, one from Lambertville Municipal Court for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and one from North Hunterdon Municipal Court for driving while his driver’s license was suspended.
   He was taken to Hunterdon County Jail in default of $4,272.
   Sept. 15 at 9:30 a.m., Weidel Realtors reported a lock box that hung on the front door of a residence in the Lambert’s Hill development was damaged.
   The residence was secured at the time. The residence also was vacant and up for sale.
   No damage occurred to the residence nor were the keys in the lock box removed.
   Sept. 16 at 2:46 p.m., police went to Garefino Funeral Home for a report of a trespasser.
   Upon arrival, owner Charles E. Garefino said he found Todd Philllip Cordano, 36, of Sharon, Conn. sitting in the foyer.
   Mr. Garefino said he had left the business, which was closed, only to return to noises coming from his preparation room. Mr. Garefino found Mr. Cordano in his boiler room. The door to the preparation room was found open, which Mr. Garefino said he always keeps closed.
   Mr. Cordano told police he went into the funeral home through the unlocked front door and called out to see if someone was there. He got a drink of water from the water fountain, then used the restroom, police said.
   He then went into the boiler room and preparation room. Once inside the preparation room, Mr. Cordano admitted to using the phone to call Philadelphia, Connecticut and Wisconsin, police said.
   He said he was aware he was not supposed to use the phone or be in the building.
   He was charged with burglary and theft of services. He was taken to Hunterdon County Jail on $10,000.00 bail.
   Sept. 20 at 2 p.m., Sabra Lynn Nagel reported her purse was stolen from the front passenger floor of her vehicle on Sept. 6 between 8 a.m. and noon.
   The car was unlocked and in a private parking area on Canal Street, police said.
   No other items were taken.
   Sept. 20 at 4:30 p.m., David E. Wharton, 25, of Lambertville was charged with driving with a suspended license.
   Before that, a passenger, Freda M. Reed, Mr. Wharton’s girlfriend, also was driving the car, who also was charged with driving with a suspended license, police said.
   Brian J. Carotenuto, 35, of Richboro, Pa., went to get the vehicle from the road, but he also was found to have a suspended license and an outstanding traffic warrant out of Raritan Township for failure to appear in the amount of $81.
   Mr. Carotenuto posted bail and was released.
   Sept. 21 at 9:09 a.m., tools were stolen from a mechanical room at the Hibernia Apartments on South Main Street.
   The victim, Howard Bilbee-Custodian, uses this room as his workshop, police said. The door is kept locked when not in use, police said. There were no signs of forced entry, police said. The room is only accessible by the victim, the Lambertville Fire Company and three other employees who work for the victim, who get the key is from the building manager.
   Police are investigating.
   Sept. 21 at 7:01 a.m., Michael T. Short of Trenton was charged with speeding on Route 29.
   Mr. Short also had two outstanding traffic warrants. One warrant was from Audubon Park Borough for failure to appear in the amount of $488. The other was from Mansfield Township for failure to appear in the amount of $350..
   Mr. Short was released after posting bail.
   Sept. 22, Lambertville resident Jessie Lee Oglesby was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for non-payment of child support.
   Police received information Ms. Oglesby was hiding in her boyfriend’s apartment on North Union Street. Police said the boyfriend admitted Ms. Oglesby was hiding there.
   She was found in the hallway apartment and taken to Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $2,640 in back child support.
