Mary T. Pallo
FLORENCE Mary T. "Aunt Tina" Fasanella Pallo, 87, formerly of Hamilton Township, died Sept. 30 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, Mrs. Pallo resided there most of her life before spending 43 years in Hamilton Township and the last three years in Florence.
Mrs. Pallo retired in 1984 after 25 years of service from General Motors Corp., Ewing Township.
She enjoyed traveling, cooking, knitting, and ceramics. She was a member of the UAW of America, the Samuel Naples Senior Citizens Center, Trenton, and the Italian American Sportsmen Club, Hamilton.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Fasanella, wife of the late Andrew Pallo Jr., sister of the late Kenneth W. Fasanella, Joseph Fasanella, Louise Riccitello and Dolly Boule, she is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Shirley Fasanella of Trenton; brothers-in-law Milton Boule, John Pallo and Leonard Pallo; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Township.
Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey at Hamilton, 2575 Klockner Road, Hamilton, 08690, Attn: Lisa Breza.

Elsie C. Wismer
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP Elsie C. Wismer, 88, died Sept. 27 at Care One in Hamilton.
Mrs. Wismer was born in Trenton and had been a resident of Bordentown Township since 1961.
A graduate of Trenton Central High School, class of 1936, she retired after 26 years with the state Department of Motor Vehicles.
She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Bordentown and the Groveville Golden Hour Senior Citizen Club.
Daughter of the late Carl R. and Emma Markau, wife of the late Albert B. Wismer, and sister of the late Hilda Namish and Alma Nimmo, she is survived by her sister, Marie Vogel of Bellville, and her brother, Carl J. Markau of Hamilton; her nieces and nephews, Eleanore Chubb, William Nimmo, Janice Clark, Stephen Vogel, Linda Polkowski, Kenneth Vogel, John Vogel, Diane Kinslen, Carl B. Markau and David Markau; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Knott’s Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 S. Broad St., Hamilton. The Rev. Garrett Knudson, of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Trenton.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Julia Heisler
MILLVILLE Julia Heisler, 90, of Millville and formerly of Bordentown, died Oct. 3 at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Roebling, she had resided in the Roebling-Bordentown area most of her life. She was a member of the St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, the Bordentown Senior Citizens and the Golden Age Club of Bordentown.
Wife of the late John Michael Heisler, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Alfred Selva of Millville; grandchildren, Hera and her husband, Scott Jones and Dr. Erica Selva and husband Dr. David Raden; great-grandchildren, Hillary, Julian, Cordelia, Elena, Tyler and Nicholas and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown.
Louise Southard
JACKSON Louise Southard, 92, of Jackson died Sept. 29 at her home
She was born in Brooklyn and had resided in Bordentown much of her life before moving back to Brooklyn where she and her late husband operated Dick’s Deli for over 30 years.
She had been a resident of Toms River and Jackson for over 25 years.
Wife of the late Richard A. Southard Sr., she is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou Southard of Jackson; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Jr. and Barbara Southard of Naperville, Ill.; a sister, Abby Varley of Florida.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Cissie Errickson of Bordentown; a granddaughter, Laura Niemet; three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Claire and Nolan Niemet and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, with burial following in the parish cemetery.
Nicholas R. Jachetti
BORDENTOWN Nicholas R. Jachetti, 91, died Saturday at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis.
Born in Trenton and formerly of Florence, Hawaii, and Las Vegas, Mr. Jachetti resided in Bordentown for the past three years.
He was an engineer for RCA at Forrestal in Princeton, where he retired in 1976 after 15 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Mr. Jachetti was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School Class of 1933, was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and he enjoyed traveling.
Son of the late Nicholas and Mary Wolf Jachetti, husband of the late June Montgomery Jachetti and brother of the late Richard G. Jachetti, Hubert J. Jachetti and Marie Schmidt, he is survived by one daughter, Cora M. Jachetti of Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Rose M. Jachetti of Galloway and Ruth Jachetti of Bootthwin, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday at Our Lady of the Angels Church at Immaculate Conception, 540 Chestnut Ave., Trenton.
Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Pasquale S. Spirito
TRENTON Pasquale S. "Pat" Spirito, 59, died Sept. 29 at home.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Spirito retired in 1994 after 25 years as a police officer for the New Jersey State Police, Trenton.
Son of the late Carl and Carmela Puca Spirito, he is survived by his wife, Patricia Leslie Buchello Spirito; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul Michael and Melissa Spirito of Bordentown; a daughter and son-in-law, Carla B. and Philip Varlese of Westampton; a step-son, Christopher Johnsen of Bayonne; two grandchildren, Andrew Varlese and Jaden Spirito; and his former wife, Nadine Spirito.
The funeral was held Monday from the Brenna Funeral Home, 340 Hamilton Ave, Trenton.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels Parish at Saint Joachim’s Church, Butler Street, Trenton.
Burial followed in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.

Elizabeth DeMatteo
NORTH HANOVER TOWNSHIP Elizabeth C. DeMatteo, 89, formerly of Hamilton Township, died Sept. 29 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, she resided in Hamilton Township most of her life and in North Hanover Township for the past seven years.
Ms. DeMatteo retired in 1979 after 19 years from the state Division of Motor Vehicles, Trenton. She was a member of the state Division of Motor Vehicles Retirement Association, Nottingham Squares, and New Egypt Methodist Church.
Daughter of the late Thomas and Theresa DeMarco DeMatteo, and sister of the late Frank and Domenic DeMatteo and Mario Basted, she is survived by her sister, Mary Brigini of North Hanover Township; a brother-in-law, Harry Bastedo; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Brenna Funeral Home, 340 Hamilton Ave., Trenton, with the Rev. Kim Wendt, pastor of the New Egypt Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Township.

Thelma M. Orloski
WHITING Thelma M. Orloski, 82, died Sept. 28 at Hamilton Place at Keswick Pines, Whiting.
Mrs. Orloski was born in Trenton, lived in Yardley, Pa., for 35 years and Ship Bottom for eight years before moving to Whiting Station in 1990.
She had been a homemaker all her life.
She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Whiting, and the church choir and the Women’s Club of the church. She was also a member of the Crestwood Chorus of Whiting and Somebody C.A.R.E.S., Whiting.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Frank L. Orloski of Whiting; daughter Jill Fowler Cade of Bronxville, N.Y.; son and daugher-in-law, Leonard F. and Nancy Orloski of Crosswicks; and grandchildren Evan, Ryan, Ned and Aberle.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, 40 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.
Cremation was private.

Elizabeth Sivak
TRENTON Elizabeth Sivak, 85, died Sept. 26 at her home.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
She was a graduate of the Trenton public schools and a 1942 graduate of Trenton State Teachers College. She had taught in the Piscataway Township School District and retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Justice.
She was the president of the Starlite Senior Citizens Club and Animals in Distress. She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Trenton.
Mrs. Sivak was predeceased by parents Louis and Susanna Csighy Sarkady, husband Andrew Sivak, siblings Louis Sarkady Jr. and his wife Margaret, Andrew Sarkady and Erma Kierys. She is survived by a niece and her husband, Susan Sarkady-Garenia and William Garenia of Wrightstown; one nephew, Louis Sarkady III of North Hanover Township; and several nephews in Hungary. Also surviving are two dear friends, Shirley Novak and Stefania Sieminski.
Funeral services were conducted Sept. 29 from the Rogers Funeral Home, 825 Chambers St., Trenton.
Burial followed at the Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton.
The Rev. Laszlo Ujj, pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Trenton, officiated.

Gertrude R. Sentak
CHESTERFIELD Gertrude "Trudy" R. Sentak, 60, died Sept. 26 at Princeton Hospital, Princeton.
Born in Trenton, she had lived there and in Hamilton Township before moving to Chesterfield 18 years ago.
She was the owner and operator of Over the Rainbow in Bordentown Township, and a board member of the Horizon Treatment Center. She was always busy helping people.
Daughter of the late Edwin and Emma MacNicoll, she is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Sentak; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel J. and Jennifer Sentak of Chestefield and a daughter, Jessica Sentak, also of Chesterfield; three sisters, Joyce MacNicoll of Trenton, Ethel Snyder of Bordentown and Patricia Lucas of Chicago; five brothers, Edwin MacNicoll of Hamilton Township, Henry MacNicoll of Hamilton Township, Anthony MacNicoll of Trenton, William MacNicoll of New York, and Walter MacNicoll of Frenchtown; and one grandson, Adam Sentak.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, with the Rev. Michael Burns officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in Trudy Sentak’s name.

CHESTERFIELD Jean Ann Bartell, 76, of Chesterfield, died Sept. 21 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly.
Born in Trenton, she had lived there until moving to Chesterfield 59 years ago. She had worked at Northern Burlington Regional High School in the cafeteria, Wilson’s Egg Farm, NADE in Bordentown Township and Walsten’s Nursery in Allentown.
Daughter of the late Thomas Goodwin and Julia Gurba Goodwin, she is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard W. Bartell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Robert Lilienthal of Somers, Mont., and Carol and Lawrence Durr of Chesterfield; a son, Richard W. Bartell and friend, Donna Cousin of Chesterfield; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Lora Durr, Jeannine Reichenbach and her husband Anton, and Erik Lilienthal; five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Colton, Clayton, Wyatt and Cassidy Jean Reichenbach; a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Eugene Evans of Trenton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held from the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment followed in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
