Dorothy D’Agostino
   Dorothy A. D’Agostino, of Lawrence, died Monday at Capital Health System’s Fuld Campus. She was 89.
   Born in Trenton, Mrs. D’Agostino was a resident of Lawrence for the past 36 years.
   She was an artist specializing in oils and had won numerous amateur awards. Her artistic talents were also utilized at Stangl Pottery, where she was employed as a hand artist.
   Daughter of the late Thomas and Ada Bloore Carr, and wife of the late William D. D’Agostino, she is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Kirk, of Yardley, Pa.; two granddaughters, Kimberlee McCollough, of Lambertville, and Pamela Schroeder, of Yardley, Pa.; four great-grandchildren, E. Payne Schroeder and Wm. Tanner Schroeder, both of Yardley, Pa., and Dylan Keane McCollough and Christopher Kirk McCollough, both of Lambertville.
   Private family services and burial will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. There will be no calling hours.

Mary Graja
   Mary R. Graja, of Lawrence, died Tuesday in the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton. She was 79.
   Born in Trenton, she resided in Lawrence for 41 years.
   Mrs. Graja retired in 1981 as a supervisor with New Jersey Bell Telephone after 36 years of service.
   She was a member of the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville, Telephone Pioneers of America, a life member of Marine Corps League Ladies Auxiliary, Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club No. 5, Lawrence Township American Legion Post 414 Ladies Auxiliary and Lawrence Township Meals on Wheels. She was a former member of the Lawrence Elks B.P.O.E 2412 Ladies Auxiliary.
   Daughter of the late John and Katherine Fox Rogaczewski and wife of the late Henry "Hank" Graja, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Richard C. and JoAnn Graja and Larry and Colleen Graja; two grandsons, Christopher Graja and his wife, Jennifer, and Andrew Graja and two granddaughters, Sara and Denise Graja. Also surviving are a great granddaughter, Claire Graja, a brother, John Rogaczewski and his wife, Sally and a sister, Kathleen McClain and her husband, Bernard.
   The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Ann, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in Colonial Memorial Park in Hamilton. Family and friends may call from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Jesse Furtick
   Jesse L. Furtick, of Lawrence, died Sunday at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York after battling cancer. He was 66.
   Born in Aiken County, S.C., he was a former resident of Hopewell before moving to Lawrence 40 years ago.
   Mr. Furtick graduated from Princeton High School and attended Rider University, then Rider College.
   He retired in 2004 as a general manager of A&P Food Market in Edison after 47 years of service in the retail food business. He also worked briefly as an insurance agent for Liberty Life Insurance Company.
   Mr. Furtick served in the USMC Reserves.
   He was an active member of the American Legion Post 414 and former member of the Lawrence Road Fire Company.
   Son of the late Daniel L. and Ruth Hallman Furtick, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rosemarie Cermele Furtick; two daughters, Laura Driggers and her husband Gary, of Eastampton, and Karen Furtick, of Bordentown; one son, Jay Furtick and his wife Lisa Yohalem, of Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren, Drew Furtick, Sarah and Rachel Driggers, and Natalie and Claire Furtick. Also surviving are two sisters, Peggy Bird and her husband Roger, and Betty Rooney and her husband Bill, all of Abbeville, S.C.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
   A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrence. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. American Legion Services will be held at 7 p.m.

David Kauffman Sr.
   David Edward Kauffman Sr. died Tuesday at the Princeton Medical Center. He was 95.
   He was born in Little Plymouth, Va. on April 7, 1911 to Essau and Mattie Kauffman. He moved to Trenton at an early age and resided in Lawrence for over 70 years.
   Mr. Kauffman was employed at the Belle Mead General Depot for many years. He then became the head of the Custodial Department at The Lawrenceville School and retired in 1980 at the age of 71.
   He was preceded by his son, Oliver (Chico) Kauffman, and daughter, Janet Kauffman; his brothers, Richard T., Jeremiah and wife Audrey; John Foster and wife Daisy Kauffman; two sisters, Florence and her husband Robert Harris, and Ida B. and her husband, Noah Womack; and his longtime friend, Paul A. Marrow.
   Mr. Kauffman is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, David E. Kauffman Jr. (Ann), of Morrisville, Pa. and Richard Kauffman, of Atlantic City; five daughters, Dolores Smalls, Joan Howard (Robert), Jean Kauffman, of Lawrence with whom he resided, Mary (Rev. Cornelius), of Verona, Pa., and Carol Johnson (Joseph); one sister, Mary Harris, of Virginia; one sister-in-law, Cartez Kauffman; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
   Funeral was Tuesday at Shiloh Baptist Church, Trenton. Interment was private.

Mary Sproles
   MONTGOMERY — Mary Dix Sproles, of Montgomery Township, died Sept. 26 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. She was 93.
   Born in Montgomery, Ala., she lived in Philadelphia, settled in Alexandria, Va., and then lived in Arlington, Va., for 48 years before moving to Montgomery Township this year.
   Wife of the late Edward S. Sproles, she is survived by a son, Edward S. Sproles Jr., of Lawrence, and many nieces and nephews.
   A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Arlington, Va. Burial will be in Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Irene Emann
   PRINCETON — Irene F. (Patko) Emann died Sept. 26 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. She was 70.
   Born and raised in Franklin Township, she resided in Princeton most of her life.
   Mrs. Emann retired as a supervisor with Educational Testing Service in 2001 after 55 years of service. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad.
   Daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel Patko, wife of the late Walter V. Emann, sister of the late Joe, Bob and Frank Patko, sister-in-law of the late Ruth Martin Rowley, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Jo Emann, of Lawrence, Michael and Alison Emann, of Princeton, and Daniel and Joan Emann, of Ringoes; two daughters and a son-in-law, Renee and Ralph Garth, of Victoria, Australia, and Michelle Emann of Goochland, Va.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ethel Ughetta, of Neshanic Station, Ilona and Robert Dragert, of Pennington, Joanie and Bill Grosse, of Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Patko, of Franklin Park; five grandchildren, Jason Kane and wife Kerri, Roland "Randy" Kane, Jessica, Walter, and Bennett Emann; one great-grandson, Tyler Kane, and many nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was held Monday at Westerly Road Church, Princeton.

Natalia Miceli
   TRENTON — Natalia Fiorelli Miceli died Sept. 26 at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. She was 82.
   Born in Rome, Italy, she was a Trenton resident since 1949.
   Mrs. Miceli was predeceased by her parents, Gratigliano Fiorelli and Philomena Santinello Fiorelli, a brother, Gian Carlo Fiorelli and husband, Joseph L. Miceli.
   She is survived by four daughters and their spouses, Margherita and Robert Foster, of Washington Township, Marina and Mark Maccaroni, of Trenton, Marcella and Ken Smith, of Hamilton and Mary Ann and Larry Miller, of Lawrence; seven grandchildren, Nina, Chris and Kevin Foster, Melissa Miller, Mark and Carla Maccaroni and Tara Smith; two sisters, Amelia Vannozzi, of Yardville, and Isabella Garcia, of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held Friday at Gruerio Funeral Home, Trenton. Interment was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Thomas Stackhouse
   Thomas H. Stackhouse, of Hamilton, died Monday at Virtua West Jersey Hospital at Marlton. He was 83.
   Born in Morrisville, Pa., Mr. Stackhouse attended school in Lower Makefield Township and was a graduate of Morrisville High School. He had been a longtime Hamilton area resident and member of St. Mark United Methodist Church of Hamilton Square.
   He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, having served during World War II from 1942 to 1945, and served on board the USS LST 20 in the South Pacific area.
   Mr. Stackhouse retired in 1983, after 38 years of service, from Western Electric Co. and then worked part time with St. Mark United Methodist Church for 25 years as Building Supervisor, retiring in 1999.
   Son of the late Thomas Headley Sr. and Marion (Muschert) Stackhouse, brother of the late Dorothy Jane Stackhouse and Alice Dills, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean M. (Fox) Stackhouse; three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas G. and Melanie Stackhouse, of Springfield, Douglas C. and Diane L. Stackhouse, of Easton, Pa., and James R. and Kelly M. Stackhouse, of Harleysville, Pa.; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dean T. Mueller of Westlake, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles M. and Joan Stackhouse of Lawrence; a sister and brother-in-law, Marion M. and Arthur Ottinger, of Tehachapi, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 465 Paxson Avenue, Hamilton Township. Cremation was private and there were no calling hours.
