Tudor Place resident killed on railroad tracks

   Tudor Place resident Shirley Shaffer, 35, was found dead on the railroad tracks between Auten Road and Valley Road, early Monday.
   Investigators ruled the death a suicide.
   Police said they received a call from Norfolk Southern Railroad at 3:58 a.m. notifying police that one of its westbound trains had struck what appeared to be a body laying on the tracks.
   Police and rail workers found the body about 75 yards east of Valley Road. Police said the woman appeared to have been struck and killed by a Norfolk Southern train.
   Responding agencies included Hillsborough police, Somerset Medical Center Mobile Intensive Care Unit, and the New Jersey Medical Examiners Office.
