Vincent Mondi

   Vincent Mondi, 83, of Monmouth Junction, died Friday, Oct. 6, at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick.
   He was born in New York before becoming a resident of Monmouth Junction.
   He resided in this area for many years. He was employed as foreman by Republic Wire in Carteret. Mr. Mondi was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, fighting with Gen. George Patton. He was a communicant of St. Bartholomew’s R.C. Church in East Brunswick.
   His brother, Anthony Mondi, is deceased. Mr. Mondi is survived by his wife, Rose Sacino Mondi of Monmouth Junction; a son, Vincent Mondi Jr. of Kearny; a foster son, Victor Alonso of Metuchen; a brother, Bernard Mondi of Somerset; a sister, Elizabeth Longo of Freehold; his sister-in-law, Lucy and her husband, Carmen Aita, of East Brunswick; a niece, Lucy Aita; and nephews Michael Aita and Kyle Faucher. He will be missed by all his nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held Today (Thursday), Oct. 12, at 9 a.m., at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Batholomew’s Church in East Brunswick.
