William Knight

   HILLSBOROUGH — William I. Knight died Oct. 1 at Summerville Assisted Living in Hillsborough. He was 80.
   Born in Pottsville, Pa., he lived in Bound Brook and North Branch before moving to Hillsborough in 1958.
   Mr. Knight worked for American Cyanamid in Bound Brook for 42 years.
   He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
   He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Somerville, the Hillsborough Senior Citizens Chapter A and the American Legion Post 1000 in Trenton.
   He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Knight in 1992; and Ann Stransky in 2000.
   Surviving are his children, Janet Lilly of Creamridge and William I. III of Yardley, Pa.; a stepson, Stephen Jones of Manville; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Dupree of Green Brook and Diane McCloskey of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; a brother, Jack of Pottsville, Pa.; and three grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
   A funeral service was held Oct. 5 at Hillsborough Funeral Home in Hillsborough. Burial was in Forest Green Park Cemetery in Marlboro.
