Francis "Frank" T. Savotok, 57, of Monroe, died Thursday, Oct. 5, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Staten Island, N.Y., for 36 years before moving to Monroe four years ago.
Mr. Savotok was a spliceman for NYNEX in Staten Island for 26 years before retiring in 1996. He was a Vietnam veteran of the Army and a member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus on Staten Island. He was also a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Spotswood.
His father and mother, Peter and Margaret Uhraynowski, and his father-in-law, Casimo DiMeo, are deceased. He is survived by his wife, Diane T. Savotok of Monroe; two daughters, Juliann Savotok and her fiancée, Larry Kirby, of Old Bridge, and Francesca Savotok of Monroe; his mother-in-law, Theresa DiMeo of Manalapan; two sisters-in-law, Linda and her husband, Sonny DiGiorgio, of Old Bridge and Roseanne and her husband, Sal Damiano, of Staten Island; and by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and a grandnephew.
Funeral services were held at Monday, Oct. 9, at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Route 9, Old Bridge, and were followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Spotswood. Interment was held at Forest Green Memorial Park in Morganville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, N.J. 08015.
