Princeton Corridor Rotary tailgate feast set for Oct. 21

Thousands will come out on Oct. 21 to see if the Princeton Tigers can spoil pre-season predictions that Harvard will win the Ivy League championship. The Rotary Club of the Princeton Corridor believes that starting the day at their 15th Annual Tailgate party will give the home faithful the energy they need to make some noise and help carry the Tigers to victory.
"We offer gourmet food and all you can drink for one price," says Jerry Ford, Rotary Club member. "This event is picking up in attendance each year and we expect to have a great crowd again."
Rejoining the effort this year is culinary star Doug Duda of Lawrenceville. Mr. Duda is the host of "The Well-Seasoned Traveler," a series about worldwide food and travel that runs on A&E International. He also produces the "Taste of the World" culinary travel showcase for the New York Times Travel Show, and has recently been invited to stage similar food tastings and presentations about food travel at the International Food Exposition in Guangzhou, China.
"Doug will be working the pig roast pit again this year, so come hungry," advises Mr. Ford.
The event is open to the public and is located directly adjacent to the main parking area along Fitz Randolph Street. The party area provides ample seating and plenty of room for the kids to throw a ball around. All food and drinks are included in the general admission price. Gate opens at 10 a.m. and runs until approximately 2 p.m. The cost for adults is $12.50; children age 4-12, $5, children under 3, free.
The Rotary Club of the Princeton Corridor was established in 1986 and serves West Windsor and Plainsboro. The Annual Tailgate is one of the club’s fundraising events. Proceeds from this event support organizations such as HomeFront, the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, Life Ties Organization and the Trenton Rescue Mission.
