Donald R. Young

Retired from Lenox
   
Donald Rea Young of Princeton died Friday at University Medical Center at Princeton. He was 86.
   Born in Lawrence Township, he was a lifelong resident of Princeton.
   He retired from Lenox Inc. in Trenton in 1986 after more than 40 years as an executive in sales and marketing.
   He graduated from The Lawrenceville School in 1939 and Princeton University in 1943. He was a member of the 1941 championship Princeton University hockey team.
   He later played for the St. Nicholas Hockey Club and coached Princeton youth hockey. He continued to be a lifelong supporter of Princeton University athletics.
   He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville.
   He was also a member of Springdale Golf Club, the Nassau Club and the Old Guard of Princeton. He enjoyed summers in Castine, Maine.
   Mr. Young was a first lieutenant and forward observer with the Army Field Artillery in Europe during World War II and received several decorations.
   Husband of the late Eleanor Young, brother of the late Henry and George, grandfather of the late Donald Young III, he is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Donald R. Jr. and Janice Young of Greensboro, N.C., and Michael S. and Terri Young of Hamilton; daughter and son-in-law Margaret Y. and Jim Nordgren of South Salem, N.Y.; sister Barbara Tenney; and grandchildren Sloan, Kemp, Kat, Sarah and William.
   The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, 2688 Main St., Lawrence.
   Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Patricia D. Sienkiewicz

Longtime Princeton resident
   
Patricia Davis Sienkiewicz of Princeton died Friday at home. She was 74.
   Born in Raleigh, N.C., she was a Princeton resident since 1954.
   She was a member of the Stony Brook Garden Club.
   She is survived by her husband, John C. Sienkiewicz; and sons Mark P. Sienkiewicz of Greenwich, Conn., and Peter C Sienkiewicz of San Rafael, Calif.
   A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Church, 33 Mercer St., Princeton.
   Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Princeton Area Community Foundation, 15 Princess Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Retired textile merchant
   
MONTGOMERY — Conrad J. Schwoerer of Princeton died Sunday at Stonebridge at Montgomery. He was 97.
   Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of the Princeton area for 50 years.
   He was a retired self-employed textile merchant.
   He attended the University of Pennsylvania.
   Husband of the late Helen H. Schwoerer, he is survived by seven nieces.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton. Interment will be private.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Food for the Poor Inc., 550 SW 12th Ave., Deerfield Beach, FL 33442.

Anne F. Beck

Retired from Remington Rand
   
WEST WINDSOR — Anne F. Beck died Saturday at Hamilton Continuing Care Center. She was 85.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Beck was a longtime Brooklyn resident before moving to New Jersey several years ago.
   She retired after 15 years as a secretary at Remington Rand in New York City.
   She was a former member of St. Simon’s Episcopal Church in Brooklyn.
   She is survived by her husband, William P. Beck, daughter Barbara A. Peterson and granddaughter Cara A. Peterson, all of West Windsor.
   The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main St., Cranbury.
   Interment will follow in Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury.
   Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Former Plainsboro resident
   
MONROE — Laura Joan Elbeck died Sunday at University Medical Center at Princeton. She was 89.
   Born in Bayonne, she was a former resident of Little Falls and lived in Plainsboro for six years before moving to Rossmoor 16 years ago.
   She retired in 1960 after many years as a secretary with Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley.
   Daughter of the late Francis and Sophie Kowalski, wife of the late Paul F. Elbeck, she is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia F. and Daniel P. Diskin of Plainsboro and Joyce E. and David M. Collins of Kinnelon; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
   Funeral and burial will be private.
